Title: Barton dam

I was impressed by the volume of water pouring over the dam.

Yes I am impressed with the water volume.  Is it used for hydro?

The way you have taken the picture a side view really give the idea of the power that is being released.

At one time it was used for hydro, but not any more.

Do they use the other side of the dam for swimming?

We have a dam close to us that is used for Hydro, on the other side there is an area for swimming and that is where a lot of the locals fish.

No, the pond behind is mostly used for fishing and boating/canoeing.
