Took this picture last Thursday (October 7th) while exploring Clifton, Ohio, a historic village (chartered in 1838) about 80 minutes from here in scenic Greene County. This trip was originally planned as a trip to nearby Cedarville University (a Christian university in the town of the same name, about 15 minutes south of Clifton), but when I discovered that Clifton was so close to Cedarville, I ended up making an entire mini vacation out of it.
Check out http://www.cliftonmill.com for more details on the building and the surrounding area.
This was taken from the footbridge on the property. Unfortunately, as they're in the middle of setting up for their spectacular Christmas lights display, some of the best views were obstructed - they had a 6-foot fence on one side of the bridge, and chicken wire over the windows of the bridge (to keep people from reaching out and messing with the lights). However, the bottom left corner of the chicken wire had come loose from one of the windows, allowing me to reach in and get this spectacular shot. The black bars on the top and bottom are the shutter things which cover the bridge (see http://www.cliftonmill.com/images/covered_bridge.jpg for a picture of the bridge).

I don't know if this place is still in use as a mill, but it's quite a spectacular site. Click on the photo for a larger view (full size is 1600x1200).
Very picturesque.
Michael, how great to see a photo posted by you! And what a great "mini-vacation" you had. Thanks for sharing this with us.
