The lights in the trees were added to make it look festive, but it gives it a rather sinister appearance, I think.
Festive or sinister - no matter. :) Both photos are great.

This one was taken a little farther back, and there was a lot of cleaning up of wires, poles, etc. Orton process used with some curves adjustment. I believe this was Mrs. Barbarian's shot, but I don't really remember.
I have a picture I would like to lighten....not sure if it would work anyway.
This is another good one of yours. Well done!
If you can post a copy of it, I'll see what it would look like with various methods, and let you see. If it works, the change isn't hard to do. I can do a tutorial with the one that looks best for you.
