Mrs. Barbarian is starting a project to make a photo book for each of our children, with pictures of the little town they grew up in.   This is my first contribution.

Except for the vehicles that has an old feel about it.

That is a beautiful picture.

Any way of getting rid of the power lines?

Even so it is lovely.

What a great idea! This firehouse picture is a wonderful first addition. Makes me think had our folks done the same for us all the pics would be in black & white.  ;D
I look forward to seeing the updates of pics for this project.

There's always a way...

Just a whole lot of detail work. The shadows were a major problem.   They were on the truck, the fence, the grass, the street, everywhere.

It's one of the oldest buildings in town, and by the 1990s, it was completely inadequate as a fire station.   The city planned to raze it and build a new one, but the firemen got together, got an architect to work out a way to modernize it and keep "The Barn" intact.    The city liked it, and so it was done.    I'm glad.   I would have missed that old building.

WOW That is great.  Love it with no lines!  Far too often cities just scuttle the old in favor of the new.  It is sad.  The old has so  much character!

This is great... Wonderful start to the book!

Good job of removing those lines and shadows. It does make for a much cleaner shot. Brings up the ol debate, "should we or should we not change reality".

In removing the lines Barbarian has added age to the photo...

It's probably the way the kids remember it.   So I guess that's O.K.
