That's beautiful!  Is it a "stitched" photo in order to get that wide sweeping view?

Good eye.   Yes, I had to stitch it to get it all in.

It was the fact that it's longer in proportion to the height that made me suspect.  I couldn't find any evidence of the stitching, though, even though I did try!

I'm using Microsoft ICE.   Just downloaded it (freeware) and I'm pleased so far.

I should say that ICE was just the beginning.   To get this shot, I took three exposures and stitched them with ICE.

Then I trimmed them up and adjusted things in GIMP.

Then I tone mapped with Martin Sykes' excellent freeware.  http://www.autohdr.co.uk/

Then I cleaned up the noise, in Neat Image.

All freeware, all great stuff.  Oh, and this one is from the end of the pool, instead of the sides:

Yours almost looks like a poster Barbarian.  I would love to see that myself.

Mrs.B's are interesting.  She seems more interested in statues and illustrations....Am I right?  Tell her well done I like them!

Yes, I've noticed that.   Mrs. Barbarian is using her telephoto a lot more, isolating a part of the scene.   I think it's a stage all serious photographers experience.   I've been more interested in sweeping vistas lately.

Here's something else she did at Fair Park:


Nicely isolated the action and geometry of the bas-relief.   I like the sculpture because it really shows how 80 years ago, the culture celebrated industry and mechanical ingenuity.   Today, it's technology of electrons.

I gotta say she is a fantastic photographer.
