Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

JennyW: Autumn is shaping up to be quite beautiful this year! 2021-10-02, 12:24:03

The Glade Creek Gristmill at Babcock State Park was assembled from the remnants of four old non-working mills that were scattered throughout the state of West Virginia. The DNR carefully deconstructed them and moved the usable parts to this location and built this mill.

Ben, this is a lovely image.  Is it an HDR?  Really neat that they were able to put the parts together and set this up.

Lovely, Ben.  Is it now a "working" mill?

Wow What a beautiful picture.  What are the chances of you printing it up 11 X 14 and framing it?  It is absolutely beautiful!

Now isn't that just a classic autumn landscape, the kind that appear in calendars. Colourful, with a strong center of interese. Wot everyone wants to take, given the opportunity.

This is not an HDR. I shot this with my Bronica GS-1 (film camera) then I had my lab convert the negative to a digital file then I loaded it into Photoshop sharpened it and "fixed" some stuff that needed fixing like a dead branch on the lower left rock and soem stray weeds in the foreground.

Yes this is a working mill and you can buy grain that has been ground here.

That is really lovely!  :)

Converted from film to digital? Is that same idea as buying one of those film converters that scans the film then digitalizes? I was curious if its the same concept. I would love to do that-I may shoot more with film, :o.
God's Word is truth, You can trust and believe what he says more than any human word!!!--"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him;I will be with him in trouble,I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

I'm not sure, but it sounds like it. My professional lab does it for me but it is rather expensive (about $1.00 for each neg) if not done at the time of processing.  If you have all of the negs digitized when processed it costs about $25.00 for a 36 exposure 35mm roll of film.  I think Wal-Mart does this also but I'm not sure of the price.

Now that is all double dutch to me...all the steps you took....BUT I do like it and it is worth framing!

This is awesome.  I would frame it and put it on my wall.  Beautiful!
