Used to climb these stairs at least twice a day, between classes.   My favorite study hangout.

These murals are the largest works done by Grant Wood (of "American Gothic" fame)

I replied to this last night and for some wierd reason it went up in cyber smoke!

This is an absolutely beautiful building.  I have a big love of books as did our Dad.  I can see those tables full with students studying.   There would be no shortage of natural daytime light either, much easier on the eyes.

How many of the murals are there?

That stairwell has 12 of them, all of them unique, as Grant Wood did not otherwise paint murals.

1965.   I just turned 60 this month.   My wife turned 60 late in May.   She hates it when I tell people I married an older woman.   ;D
