Title: Merrie England Ye Olde Man And Scythe
Post by: Summicron on February 18, 2010, 03:31:06 PM
This building and the next picture are both the same property, its just that someone has converted the other half into a new age jewelry shop. We don't have much quainty stuff up here in the north, but I think the date on the building is true, across the road is, Ye olde pastie shop, 16 something or other, so this is an olde worlde corner of Bolton I've been meaning to photograph for some time now, Michael.

Summicron, great to see you back.  We've missed you!   ;)

What great pictures.  I love the plaque about James Stanley spending his last hours there before his execution.  A wonderful touch of history.
