Title: Old building with the old oak tree!
Post by: marloandlarry628 on January 19, 2012, 09:08:35 AM
I saw the sunrise coming up behind the old oak tree with the old building there,  the man that owns it told me yesterday he was going to cut both of them down.  My son was devastated I told he to get a petition started to see if he could change his mind.  He started one and within 1 1/2 hours he had 40 names on that list.  We gave it to Mr. Smith(?) lol  he started to cry.  He said he did realize that the old oak tree his great great grandfather planted meant so much to so many people.  HE IS GOING TO KEEP THE TREE AND BUILDING!!!  The parents talked and we are going to make the building safer for the kids to be around come spring.

Kudos to your son for doing something rather than sitting around bewailing the loss of the tree!

I truly am.  I have two wonderful Children who love the lord.  Glenn was saved at the age of four, some said that was to young and you couldn't know for sure, but you knew in Glenn.  He would make his baby sitter play church.more in thoughts of the week.

Wonderful story of love and truth.  Will be praying the world doesn't creep in.
