Title: Old Clitheroe
Post by: Summicron on March 25, 2009, 04:53:32 PM
Walking up a street in Clitheroe one evening there were some heavy dramatic clouds filling the sky, some great light raking across the buildings, the gable end of one of the shops has had at least two signs painted on it, good examples of the signwriters art. The shop on the left, Everything Electrical, I'll bet it doesn't sell power stations, or even electric pylons.[attachimg=#]

Wow!  Look at the hill!

That would be some climb to do your shopping from shop to shop!

Thanks!

I remember shops like that in Chester, Judy but Chester doesn't have that hill!!!!!

It's certainly steep, Michael.

Not half as steep as some streets we have in Darwen, I'll show you sometime, twice that incline.

That's a great photo, the light is beautiful especially with the dark sky, what a great time of day. It makes me want to stop in each of those shops. We don't have places like that around here.
