JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

This photo is from a mission trip I took three years ago to Roatan, Hoduras. This was the week that initially got me interested in photography. I met and befriended one of the girls I met, Hilda, and I learned (and still learn) so much through her. All week, Hilda came to the Vacation Bible School we were running and we would play together. We could never speak, due to the language barrier, but I believe her favourite game was when she said something in Spanish and laughed as I struggled to figure out its meaning. At the end of the week, I took out my small, red camera (that was soon replaced by my big camera, but it served its purpose and served it well) so that I could take photos of Hilda. When Hilda saw my camera, she began to get excited and point to what she wanted me to take a photo of. For fifteen minutes or so, we were able to step beyond the different languages and communicate through photos. The following summer, I began to do more photography around home and carry on the interest Hilda had sparked.
I post this now because a couple of years ago, all my photos from this trip except the ones I had edited and saved had been mysteriously deleted from my computer, leaving me with only one photo of Hilda. Recently, however, I remembered that I had, immediately after returning, both posted the photos on Facebook and copied them to my mom's computer. I now have every photo from my amazing trip to Roatan.
And this? I know this photo is lacking the quality I typically strive for, but this is one of the photos from that session with Hilda. In fact, Hilda herself took it of me and my friend Emily. (I'm the one in pink.)
