Title: Silent Night by Monty aka Regular Guy
Post by: Pat on March 14, 2004, 10:16:46 PM
Posting for Monty...

Here's one that I took this winter on my way home one evening. I call it "Silent Night". Makes one wonder if there could be a manger in that old barn eh'.

Great picture Monty.  That barn looks like the one on the farm where I grew up although the terrain wasn't quite that flat.  I have seen snow that looked like that.

Thanks, Monty (and Pat).  That looks so stark, so cold, so lonely, and so barren!  But there is often beauty even in starkness.  Great photo!

Monty, thank-You brother.  A new perspective from you.  Glad you are here.

I would like to see this when the snow melts and the fields are yellow with corn. ;)

Hi Monty...I love snow pics.  Something about the whiteness that covers all the dirt!
Here comes my candor...what would happen if you cropped a little of the sky so that the barn wasn't quite so dead center?  Love ya, bro!
Shalom.

Wonderful pic

It seems strange to see the snow as blue!

I love the waves, almost like ripples on a pond or a quiet sea.

Your title fits well.

Looks inviting, just to get out of the cold, snug on some hay bales with a thermos full of coffee, and some sandwiches, and a good warm blanket to keep out the draught, like camping out in summer, camping in in winter.

Hey all, thanks for keeping this around. I lost my hard drive a while back, and well....lost everything I had taken for quite a number of yrs. The sad thing about this shot is...we lost that old barn a few yrs ago to a tornado. It is about a mile from my house, and my wife saw it go up in the air.  :o

So it is really good to see it again. Blessings to you all.

Monty, so good to see you.

I always liked that photo and am sad to hear that the tornado destroyed it.

Now, we'll have to see some new photos from you.!  :)
