Title: The Healing Of The Nations
Post by: Summicron on October 30, 2008, 09:33:41 PM

Blackburn four miles down the road from where I live, they erect sculptures so fast its become like a scrapyard, especially the transitions sculpture, supposed to represent the the cotton boll throughout its development, five bronze sculptures that look like two scrap waggons colided. And here is another classic, a thirty foot diameter sculpture fastened to the side of the cathedral called The Healing Of The Nations, or the Blackburn Gong. I'm surprised the thing doesn't pull the side of the church out. It only wants the guy from the Rank organisation with his hammer to complete the scene. If that's the medal, I wouldn't like to see the ribbon.
