Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

When the East Texas Oil Patch opened up, it was a wild place.  Roughnecks and the sorts who catered to them, converged on Kilgore, Texas and converted it to a kind of Dodge City.

At one point, a fight between several men erupted into a full blown riot that lasted for days.  The overwhelmed police wired the governor for help, who wired back that it would arrive on the train the next day.

When the train arrived, the officials were dismayed to see a single Ranger get off the train.

"Just one Ranger?" they asked incredulously.

"Y'all ain't got but one riot." he replied

One ranger was all that was needed.  This statue, in the terminal at Dallas's Love Field Airport, commemorates that moment.

I believe that story is what "Walker Texas Ranger" is based on.  As a family we watched it weekly.  Allways a good lesson to be learned.

The background seems to drown out the physical features of the ranger.  Not sure if anything could be done about that.  You were taking into the light it seems.  The light has given the statue a golden hue!

I love your history lessons.
