Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

On Wednesday I visited Salford Quays, and had a marvelous afternoon, I was feeling in need of some rest and refreshment, and I was well not desperately in need of but getting that way, so in the correct order I will present the photographs. My hands were sticky with the juice of a very sticky, juicy, and ever so sweet navel orange, I'd gotten from Bolton market a couple of hours ago, the washroom was a wonderful pattern and sinks.

The next thing was, the one thing in life that you can be certain of, this was just beggin to be taken, the arrangements of urinals anlights and reflections just waiting for that Michael eye to see it.

Next in line was the coffee shop where I ordered the biggest cup of coffee in the house, you could float a boat in that cup, an orange table a yellow saucer and a white cup and milk jug, made a splendid composition.

And just sitting there, there was more, this orange stairwell sticking out of the purplest wall you've ever seen.

Turning my head I looked outside at a building across, there was the Lowery tower reflected in the glass of the building, pictures everywhere. Oh yes I forgot, all there pictures were taken in the Lowery center on Salford quays, this arts center is dedicated to the Artist, L S Lowery, famous for his matchstick people in the paintings he painted in and around Salford. It was reputed that he never once painted a person showing a happy or smiling expression on their faces, yet he was a millionaire when he died he still lived in a terraced house in Salford where he worked. The last time I was in the Lowery there was an exhibition of the photographs of the farm administration photographs, from the midwest dustbowl during the 1930s, i.e. Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange, Ben Shahn, and the rest, a part of your history. Although its called the Lowery center, Lowery does not have any of his work in here, that is in Salford city, museum, that is a museum that contains a mock up of a Salford street from the 1800s.

There you are, all finished, and a bit more history to boot. Had a great week out twice we went to Stockport, Wednesday as I said I went to Salford quays, very tiring but a great afternoon out photographing the architecture, the waterfront, some great clouds, and skies, you'll have to wait for that, the break I had in the Lowery proved to be unexpectedly rewarding, so I've dealt with the not so obvious first

Wonderful history and pictures.  Can't wait to see them all.

John and I would love to have joined you for tea!

What great blessings we get from having you here!  Feasts for the eyes and history lessons all rolled into one and then the promise of more to come as we travel with you.  Thanks you!!!
