Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

How to Use This Board

""

Details:

  • From Hermit:  "That should be pretty easy to understand.  :D "

  • Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes.  If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo.  If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.

  • Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.

  • If you possibly can, please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it.  But if you don't know, please post the picture anyway.  We want to see your photos.  :)  Please only enter photos taken by you.

  • The challenge is open now and will be open for a couple of weeks  and then we'll vote on them.

  • Please put a title in your post for your photos.  We need the title for the poll.

  • Please post only one entry per post/message.

  • Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge.  So start posting.  Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!

BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN  This old Woman with wrinkled Face came from the poor area of Appallacia. Maybe a lot of our mothers or Grandmothers were like this. I know my Grandma was. She also chewed Tobacco. But because of her love for me, all of that didn't matter.

OLD BARN AND FLOWERS

Nikon D-80
I love to take photos of old Barns. I found this particular Barn in the Georgia Mountains. But it was different.  All the beautiful  Flowers in Front and the Mountain Scenery, made it A totally different Photo.

Greetings Everyone
This picture I took in Brisbane a few years ago.

Among the high rise office building was this lovely Church

Jacqueline

Rebot... :)
....what a stunning church, you can give me the old versus the new anytime...such a shame this magnificent building is surrounded by all those monstrosities that call them themselves the modern architectures of today...

Greetings Jacqueline
The interior is beautiful as well.

And like you I prefer the architecture of the older churches to the more modern design.

Rebot

I saw this old building, badly in need of repairs.  And what took my eye was this beautiful buddleia shrub, commonly known as the Butterfly bush.

Would you say it is beauty in an unusual place?

Jacqueline

Yes I would agree, as they say..." beauty is in the eye of the beholder..."

Killdeer Camo

I took this with my Canon EOS 70D.  I was out driving around (what my hubby and I refer to as Drive-by-shooting) looking for images to take and with my window down, I heard this killdeer.  He was there with his mate and two 'babies'.  I never would have seen him in this field of plain dirt, if I hadn't seen him.  What beautiful birds to be surrounded by such plain surroundings.

Peter Iredale Shipwreck

Taken with my Canon EOS 70D.  There seems to be a haunting beauty about this shipwreck, amidst it's rust and deterioration.

Please let me know if I'm posting these too big.

Snowstorm Sunset

Taken with my Canon EOS 70D.  My hubby and I were out driving in a snowstorm in our 'backyard' and we were surprised when this orange glow of sunset lit up the stormy sky.

Caught

Taken with my Canon EOS 70D.  I found this autumn leaf that was caught in the branches of a tree, to be a beautiful irony. I wish fall would linger.  Every year the leaves fall too quickly for me.

I saw this ?Trailing Lobelia? at the side of an empty flower border and on rather ordinary steps.

A dull scene highlighted by beautiful blossoms!

Rebot...
...someone had some good imagination to brighten up some dull steps...

Shutterbugmom...
...living in UK we dont see too much of our Autumn colours as you do in America - Canada...oh I love all these Autumnal colours, the reds, and the golds...I am more a trees - coloured leaves and greenery plants than a flower person...anywhere that attracts birds...

One of our wonders of our earth...covered in a thick covering of snow...

Shipwreck, it does make one wonder what is beneath our seas...

Your bird was well camouflaged...I bet he saw you before you saw him....

Brilliant photos, I have no clue as to when they will be voted on but, for me, it doesn't matter, just the seeing them brightens up ones day as to what lies out there, and could have gone undiscovered...

Concrete can be dull, flowers have a way of brightening even the dullest of steps
