Mitch and I went earlier this week to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.  Monarch butterflies gather here to "eat up" before heading to Mexico.  It was a lovely day, around noon and quite blustery.  Here are a couple of images from there.

Becky, you caught a bee filling up, too, in the first one.  ;) Great shot.  And it's unbelievable how many were on that one plant!

I don't think I have ever seen that many in one place before, except on tv after they arrive in Mexico.

Thanks to you both for looking and commenting. We have been to the refuge a lot of times.  We have not however seen the Monarchs before so it was a great experience.
