I won Photo of the Day today on Photography Cafe!!!


On my day out taking my photos for the current challenge here at CP, I spied the most wonderful sight!  The dandelions were laden with dew that the sun hadn't been able to dry up yet.

So, picture this scene... down I went flat on my stomach to see if I could capture a bit of the scene I was so enjoying but alas, I don't have a macro lens so thought I'd just try as best as I could with what I had.

As I lay there on the wet grass, with Geordie, my trusty border collie standing guard over me, two joggers were running down the park path doing their daily "jog"  and one quickly ran over to me loudly shouting, "I'll help you, Ma'am!  Stay still--very still!!"

It turns out that he thought I had fallen down braking some bones and then he saw my camera!       Little did he realize that yes, I really wanted to be still!    I was thinking I'd need to stop breathing, etc. to get the photo as sharp as I could but I still didn't get it sharp enough for Big Al on Photography Cafe!      We learn a lot over there--especially from BigAl and little did he know that while I was lying flat on the wet grass, he was on my mind.   And he lives in the UK far across the "Big Pond" (Atlantic Ocean).

Marilyn, I guess it takes all kinds - and we all know and love Pat!

Kassie thinks the picture is very pretty.  We laughed as we read how you took the pictures!

My wife thought *I* was nuts to stand in a Gatlinburg stream to shoot.  Things ya just HAVE to do to get nice light, reflection, and angle though.
