HYE stood up so fast you hit your head on a shelf above your head (which shouldn't be that low?)

Ouch!!  Yes I have done that ... also hit my head on open cabinet doors; low hanging light fixtures ... you name it!

HYE gone to the store just to pick up a few items and get back home but met someone there and stopped to talk and, before you knew it, you'd spent much more time than you had planned on?

Oh yes, and not just once or twice either 

HYE turned on the computer to just check a couple of things and had several hours pass by?

Yes...  right now in fact! 

HYE gone to work on your day off cuz you forgot it was your day off?

Yup ... DUH

Yes .... why do they do that         I guess 'cuz they're kids.
