JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Looking for a good photo magazine like "LenWorks" that does not contain
nudity.

Any suggestions?

Popular PHotography or Outdoor PHotographer. Not sure if there is any other.

I thought I posted in here already.  Wonder what happen to it?

I think Popular Photography is normally safe but they have run some nude shots in the past, I'm almost certain.
I survived open heart surgery.... :)

Check out my blog at www.bernardshuford.com.

Hi Dave.

From your message I can't tell whether your in the UK or elsewhere.  I am based in the UK so can only give you advice on the magazines available here.

I buy a magazine called Digital Camera Magazine (refered to as DCM) which is a a great magazine, out on a monthly basis.  You can buy it in most supermarkets and newsagents, or you can order it online at www.dcmag.co.uk  It's a very family friendly magazine, and caters for all photographic abilities from beginners to more advanced.  It has tutorials dealing with image manipulation as well as camera reviews, equipment reviews and lots of friendly advice and articles.  Readers also send in their own images and have featured sections with member pictures in.  I have actually had several of my images featured in there, including one in the "hotshots" section, for which the winner gets a prize.

There are other magazines out, but there's not really much point in me going on about them if you're not based in the UK.  If you need any more information, please let me know, and I'll do what I can to help.

Anthony

Thanks Annie for your review of the magazine.  I never buy photography magazines because of the stuff that gets put in there, but I will keep an eye open the digital camera magazine you wrote about.

Anthony.

There is also another magazine that I sometimes buy, depending on what articles it features.  This month is has a 22 page feature on Action Photography.. so I bought it.  It gives great tips and advice on what settings to use for acheiving a certain effect.  This one is called Practical Photography and again is widely available.

You can spend a fortune on magazines! so I scour the magazine first to see what is going to be of use to me before I buy.  I'm probably the person shops and supermarkets hate, because I'm the one leafing through the magazines to see what's there LOL

Annie, I went to look at magazines today and bought one.  Then when I got home, I don't think it's the one you were speaking of above.

I got:  Digital Photography Techniques and there was a free CD with it.  It was slightly costly but I sure think it's full of fantastic technical information.

Annie, is this one also a British magazine?

Well, I did a search and found a good website for this magazine...  It's highly recommended too.

Yes pat, I think digital photography techniques is a British magazine.. I've had that one before.  It's quite a good one, but my fave would have to be DCM.
