JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Our engine problems today in the middle of nowhere were minimal compared to all the health issues here.  Grateful that they found the needed parts and we drove on a discharging battery for over an hour. Very carefully. All was fixed with our great relief and prayers of thankfulness.

Larry. Continuing prayers for Stacey to heal totally and keep spirits up

Etta Sue. Glad you will be better for Easter.

Our library will be closed on Sunday and they actually said for Easter.  Nice. But why is the Dollar store open?

Ruth Ann Bice

It's so good to be back home here at CP.  Y'all are like family, and how refreshing the last 2 hours as I "listened" to the conversations flowing around me.

I'll be praying with and for each request. These are serious, and I will treat them as such as I pray.

Those stories are so well done, Janet. Along with your other marvelous talents, this is a newly discovered one.

I've had company and we've done major work in my apartment. How grateful I am for a loving son who has freely given his time and talent for organization and deep cleaning to help me. This is the trucker son.

Tonight was a rainy, cold night, so I didn't attempt to drive to church for the Tenebrae service. This is a service I attend each year, but the macular degeneration just will not allow me to drive on rainy, misty nights. And, I try to keep all driving at night to a bare minimum.

May our Lord be with us as we observe the events of this weekend. And may He be given all praise, adoration, and worship for the love He bestowed by taking our sins to the cross with Him.

G'nite, friends,

Ruth Ann

Hi everyone.  It is a lovely day here in Georgia and suppose to get up to 70 this afternoon.  Just back from coffee and think Pat wants to go to Walgreen's after bit to get a little something to take to Stacey for Easter.  We plan on going down tomorrow and spending sometime with her.  I spent a couple of hours with her yesterday and she was looking good although her foot was throbbing.  When I got there it still was a little over an hour before she could have anymore pain medication.  I plan to just take it easy today and rest as feel more tired today than yesterday.

Jeanne, it was a long and stressful day but the outcome was so much better than what it could have been that we just felt a sense of relief.

Judy, the infection doctors were in to see Stacey yesterday morning so know they are trying to work on the problem.

Etta Sue, glad you cold was better yesterday and hope it is even better today.

Janet, it was nice of the church to come to the care home and present a program.  I have always liked "He Arose" also.

Carol, hope your breakdown in the middle of nowhere wasn't too serious.  At least with cellphones we are no longer cut off when something happens.

Ruth Ann, nice of your trucker son to help you when he has time.  It sounds like a wise move to stay in at night for your safety in driving as well as the safety for others.  I still see extremely well but do not like driving after dark.

I hope everyone has a very blessed Resurrection Sunday Tomorrow.

I got the results of all the tests, everything is normal. I'm glad someone thinks I'm normal. Heh heh.

Beautiful day here on the Oregon Cost. Great walking weather not too hot not too cold. So it looks like I need to walk off those to fatty meals I had to eat in the last two days. Yikes, I don't usually drink cow's milk and I had to drink whole milk two days in a row. I usually drink either Almond or Coconut milk on the rare days that I do drink it. I usually only put it in my oatmeal. And Pork Bacon EW!! I had to eat that too, I like pork but not the bacon, I eat Turkey Bacon. I am getting back to normal but those two meals sure  made me feel yucky. Now to get my body back into the SENSA mode with SENSAble meals and I'll be a happy camper.  I have lost a total of 30.5 inches and 23.6 lbs in this past year. No more belly fat on me either. So I am really feeling good about myself especially with the added  good test results.

I think last night was the first night in a very long time that it did not get below freezing!!  How nice.

And today it is bright and sunny and I think the bicyclers are out on my road.  I lost count at around 20 or so bikers.  One just went past on one of those bikes that you sit down on and peddle with your legs out in front of you instead of below you.  Four more just passed as I was typing!!

Maybe spring has sprung!

Good Friday Service was very touching last night.  The drama was about different disciples and their story and about Jesus and how he was betrayed.

I have been invited to Jeff and Linda's house tomorrow for Easter dinner.  It is so nice to be included in Ivalou's family dinners.  Tony and Charlene are in Florida so I won't be spending time with them.

Kitty and Bob should be home tomorrow!

I am glad they are getting on top of things Larry.  The pain will be bad, let her know we are all praying.

I pray each one who comes and visits our coffee stop, has a really peaceful weekend as you reflect on the true meaning of Easter.

At the Cross
(Click to hear music)

"There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all men." 1 Timothy 2:5-6

Words: Isaac Watts, Hymns and Spiritual Songs, 1707; Ralph E. Hudson wrote the refrain in 1885.
Music: "Martyrdom," Hugh Wilson, 1800

Alas! and did my Savior bleed
And did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For sinners such as I?
[originally, For such a worm as I?]
Refrain

At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

Thy body slain, sweet Jesus, Thine—
And bathed in its own blood—
While the firm mark of wrath divine,
His Soul in anguish stood.

Refrain

Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

Refrain

Well might the sun in darkness hide
And shut his glories in,
When Christ, the mighty Maker died,
For man the creature's sin.

Refrain

Thus might I hide my blushing face
While His dear cross appears,
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
And melt my eyes to tears.

Refrain

But drops of grief can ne'er repay
The debt of love I owe:
Here, Lord, I give my self away
'Tis all that I can do.

Home.  there is nothing like coming home.  the children are planning Easter Day and we need only show.

Resurrection Day is the perfect name.  We once belonged to a church named the same as a reminder of the joy.     May all of you and those you care for have a beautiful day.

Ruth Ann Bice

May this Easter celebration be a very good one for each of us. Thank you for coming to this site and sharing.

Love to all, and most of all, love, adoration, and worship for our Lord.
