JennyW: Hello Janet! I check every day. I wish everyone would get going again! I miss seeing pictures and reading posts! 2025-01-24, 06:54:04

Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Ruth, I do love the Mandarin..... If it was closer, I would go. Thankfully it is almost 150 miles away (240 is kilometers) otherwise we would spend too much money on "meals out"

Happy Anniversary!!  (I have over 4 years to reach that milestone)

Carol

Ruth:  Congratulations on celebrating your 50th anniversary.  If you are like me, time just flew.

Larry:  Glad to hear that Stacey had a better night.  All of that helps in recovery.  And, Pat was able to drive so that is a good sign as well.  Take care.

Janet:  I'll have to get back to you.

We all are concerned about our children and last night we had a message that our youngest son & wife had to put their 12 year old German Shepherd to sleep.  A very easy dog to mind and was nice to dog sit when we were needed.  Willow - even her name was sweet.  Another son called and said a neighbor wants to buy his house - they live next door.  Would that ever make things easy for him.

It is nice today so I should take a walk.

Pat:  Have a safe drive going up North.

Marilyn

Happy Anniversary Ruth and Mel

I had a call from Gord.  Noreen is in isolation with an infection.  Not sure what the infection is, however apparently, from what I understand, she can't leave till it is gone....I hope I got that all correct.  Please pray for Noreen, that she get over the infection quickly.  Gord didn't know if she went into the hospital with it, or contracted it in the hospital.....

John is home, He will head out on Monday afternoon.

We had snow for the night before last, all day yesterday and till about 2 this afternoon.  Thankfully it has now stopped and hopefully that will be the end of it.   This year is weird, as far as the weather goes....Wondering if this is a fulfillment of prophecy?

Have a great day
Judy

Janet

Glad to read that Stacey had a better night, Pat is able to drive again, Etta Sue is feeling better, and Ruth and husband enjoying their 50th anniversary!  Praise God for all those blessings.

We are going to a dinner theater at Hugoton tonight.  Our Son-in-law has the leading role in the play....he's a real ham!  :)  And daughter Diane is helping cook the meal, Abby is sitting with us, so we should have a very enjoyable evening!

Al, good to hear from you!  And do let us know where in that huge Lone Star State you have landed!  I hope you enjoy it there very much.

Larry, you're sure right about getting tired yesterday.  Three little ones--7 months, almost 3 and 5 years old can really tire a person out.  They had so much fun, but Darrel could barely tolerate all the squealing, screaming and the baby's crying.  Whew!

And to answer everyone's most welcome inquiries about Beth--she is doing fine.  And she was talking more clearly today than she has in a long time, a real treat for me!  We will be picking her up for church in the morning.

I just booked Darrel and me on a trip to Turkey!

Well, for all of those who asked - I'm in a town called Rowlerr, Texas, not far from Dallas.  I don't know how to describe it's location other than central Texas, about 2060 miles from where I used to live.  It's wlhere you have to say "all y'all", etc.

JudyB

Continuing to pray as you get used to this transition... Love ya Al!

Janice

Thanks for all the "congrats" messages about my new gr-grandson.  dil sent a couple more pics today.  My goodness, he looks bigger already.  And he was wearing a black outfit!  I admit to being surprised at that....black?  Is that a new trend for newborns?

Rowlett, TX is nearby NE of Dallas.  My step dtr lives there.  Al, I hope you enjoy living there.  Are you very close to Lake Hubbard?  She used to live the other side of the lake, in Rockwall.  I have a cousin who is a doctor in Rockwall, but she previously had her practice in Rowlett.

Larry, so thankful that Stacey had a better night & hope tonight proves to be as good.  You asked about my gr-dtr in South Korea...She has confidence that God will take care of them.  Elaine told me today that Patty said they were told if any have to be moved, it would likely be those in northern South Korea who would be sent to the southern part, where they are.  I don't know if that means only military or what.  They finally got their car, they have been walking everywhere.  Patty is home schooling their son, the nearest American school is 1 1/2 hours away.  She had anticipated home schooling him before they left El Paso.  He is 7 years old.

Janet...hope you and Darrell had a fun evening at the dinner theater.  Glad to hear that Beth is some better.

Good night all...all y'all.   ;D
Janice

Glad to hear Etta Sue is improving too.  Hope all others are doing OK too.
This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.   Ps 118:24

Etta Sue

I am much better today.  No wheezing and coughing during the night so I got 5 hours of sleep straight through without couging, wheezing or getting up for the bathroom!  Wow!!

I am ready for church and it looks to be a cloudy day!

Not sure what all will entail today.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone on an overcast Sunday morning.  Rain, if we get any, should be late this afternoon or evening.  We will head down to visit with Stacey and share a bite of lunch with her.  She wants the same small sub I took her last Sunday to break the chain of hospital food.  I will get the subs at Kroger on the way.  Yesterday they had to give her a blood transfusion and we haven't talked to her since then.  They had taken her own blood to use before the surgery.  My morning activities yesterday with the shopping really left me wiped out for the rest of the day.  I am feeling better this morning.

Marilyn, thank you for the prayers.  I keep assuring Stacey that many folks are praying for her and she is very appreciative.

Etta Sue, glad your back isn't hurting as know that is a relief.

Ruth Ann, good to see your posting and know your absence was family related and not a problem with your health.

Ruth, congratulations to you and Mel on 50 years of marriage.  We reached that milestone last July but things were so hectic we didn't observe it any way other than to note it. Not many folks make it to 50 years so it is an accomplishment.  Hope you enjoyed the time at the Mandarin with family members.

Carol, good news on your son's pending home sale.  Sometimes things don't have to be complicated.  It sounds like there may be a shortage of homes in certain areas so it will be a better time to sell.

Judy, not good news concerning Noreen.  Infection was something that Pat was so concerned about as had a problem when she had foot surgery a few years ago.  Hospitals are very dangerous places to be anymore as the housekeeping leaves something to be desired.

Janet, many, many years since we attended a dinner theater and always loved them.  I know it was a special evening.  So good to read that Beth is doing fine and looking forward to going to church.  Wow!  A trip to Turkey sounds interesting as there is much history there.

Al, you will soon get the local lingo down well as you become a Texan.

Janice, glad your great granddaughter seems to be in a safer par of South Korea.

The Church In The Wildwood
(Click for Music)

There's a church in the valley by the wildwood
No lovelier spot in the dale
No place is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the vale

(Oh, come, come, come, come)

Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the vale
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the vale

How sweet on a clear Sabbath morning
To listen to the clear ringing bells
Its tones so sweetly are calling
Oh come to the church in the vale
(Oh, come, come, come, come)

Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the vale
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the vale

There, close by the church in the valley
Lies one that I loved so well
She sleeps, sweetly sleeps, 'neath the willow
Disturb not her rest in the vale
(Oh, come, come, come, come)

Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the vale
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the vale

There, close by the side of that loved one
'Neath the tree where the wild flowers bloom
When farewell hymns shall be chanted
I shall rest by her side in the tomb

(Oh, come, come, come, come)

Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the vale
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the vale

Janet

We really enjoyed the dinner theater last night.  All local, small town folks, so good, clean fun.  Abby is so grown-up looking now!  She was attempting to show Darrel how to use her iphone, to no avail!

Curtis is at the civic center, he has a booth at the Spring Fling, and asked me to come help him load up, as they close this evening.  So I guess I will go give him a hand now.  Back later!

Oh!  Yes, Janice, black became a very popular color for newborns about five years ago.  It startled me, too, at first!  Really different from the traditional pinks, yellows, blues and mint greens!

Well, it's time to go through the basement once again.  I've tried to sweep the floor but it's so musty and damp down here.  So, hurry as fast as you can go by the light of the lanterns I've hung up to light your way to our new "Thoughts for the Week"!!!

See you there!
