 I feel I would like to share this with you.  It's so funny.  Taken from a letter to me from my dear friend Esther in Jerusalem.

"A few weeks ago, an Egyptian lawyer seriously and genuinely filed a lawsuit against the Jewish people for reparations to be paid for all the treasures of Egypt that the Jewish people took with them at the time of the Exodus".  It sounds too preposterous to be true - but it is really happening! I love the Israeli response. "Okay,. then - we'll sue all of the Egyptians for back wages!"

Only someone who knows the Bible would understand this joke!.........WONDERFUL!

Esther sent me a lovely Jewish New Year Card and a sweet little bookmark. Manna from Heaven indeed!

The good thing about that is that means the Egyptians acknowledge it really happened and that means God Yahweh is all powerful.

Jenny, I laughed right our loud when I read your post!  That is rich!  And more proof of the infallibility of the Bible!  Don't you just LOVE it?

Unfortunately, the African-descended people here ARE serious about suing the rest of us for reparations re the slavery years.  And it was their OWN people who captured them and sold them into slavery.  The whole thing is just ludicrous!
