Soon after the resurection, Peter realised he would be taking up a new career, becoming the founder of a new kind of synagogue, one that was based on a new set of laws, that given by the Holy Spirit, and written on mens hearts rather than tablets of stone. A new religion that made every believer a temple of this same God given Spirit. A most powerful religion of healing, not even having to lay hands on the sick in order for them to recover, or demons to be cast out, but simply Peters shadow cast over a person could heal them, and in the evenings they would lay their sick and infirm outside their doors, and wait for Peter to come along.


Peter the fisherman at Pentecost, given a mighty prophetic sermon, which he delivered, and the other ten disciples, spoke in tongues about, interpreting his message to all the Jews in their own tongue.


He who believes in Me said Jesus, "Out of his belly shall flow streams of living water," and on that eventful day of Pentecost, Peter became that living rock, that the waters of life (the gospel) flowed out of, their hearts were now fully opened, and multitudes were having their hearts opened to receive what God had promised through His Son.


And God added daily to the church those that were being saved.


And what of Peter's boat, well its here for sale if you want it, going at a reasonable price, any offers?


Taken on the island of Gozo, next to what is called the inland sea, the sea itself forms a lagoon behind some cliffs, separating it from the sea, and boats can enter and leave through a cave carved through the cliffs, its an amazing sight. The sheds in the background have been dug out of the rock, and serve both as boathouses, and places relaxation.

That is an unusual picture.  Amazing that there is so much carved out of rock.
