Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I had these pictures ready and almost forgot to post them! :o

I went to West End, then to the Butterfly Park, then to Garambola Gardens.  Here are some pictures from West End.  This one of the main streets of West End--big holes on a dirt (sand) strip.  The cars have to barely creep along it to keep from knocking the bottoms out!

Beach at West End.  This is the way the beaches look which are not raked every day to remove the debris which washes up on them.

A gift shop in West End.  Can you see the chicken underneath the building?

Some boats at West End.

A cigar smoker sitting outside a gift shop.  (He was a real stuffed shirt!)

Here are some of the residents of the butterfly garden.  They feed them fruit, among other things.  These were so busy eating they never moved!

This little boy is the son of the girl who gives the tours of the garden.  They were cleaning the pool where the turtle lives, and the boy seemed quite fond of the turtle.

Another butterfly (sorry I don't recall all the names!)

Swallowtail butterfly.

A striped one..........

One with red on it.  I discovered a video camera would be better for these subjects!  They had some called "helicopters" that I tried and tried to snap, all just blurs! :P

Orange striped one.

Another Swallowtail..........

At the Butterfly Garden, they also have a small bird park.  Here is a young Toucan.

These toucans are more mature.

Red-fronted Parrot.

This is a Honduran "raccoon."  That is what they call it, but I think it is so cute!

Bird of Paradise flower.

Another pink hibiscus.

A little green gecko on a tree.  Sorry about the poor quality.

That's all folks!  Until the underwater ones, anyway! ;D ;D

Next time you're thinking of going, Janet, please remember that I now offer to go in your place - so that you won't have to!  In he mean time, thank you so much for the virtual tour.

Again, these are wonderful  Almost overlooked them.

Sometimes when I look at nature first hand or at pictures, I wonder...What was God thinking?  I wonder what God was thinking when he created the toucan?  Why the long beak?  It looks so heavy!

Sonifo

Thanks, Janet.  I like looking at different animals and bugs.  Those birds beaks look so fake.  It is hard to believe they can hold their head up.  :-\

Cool looking butterflies.

Janet

Actually, the toucan's beak is not heavy at all.  It is very thin and not at all strong like a parrot's beak.  It is designed for eating fruit and bugs.  Ones in captivity have to have the beak trimmed sometimes so they don't overgrow and then split.

When you look at them, the beak is almost see-through thin.  I let them nip my fingers, they don't bite hard like a parrot or a cockatoo does.  Neat birds!

Long time since I looked at these pictures.  Pat is working hard revamping the photo area, so I will spend more time in here and look again at a lot of the photos we all posted in the past.  Still fun to look!  :)
