JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

As I was looking through my Cookbooks looking for a cookie recipie with a twist I came across this from the "EAGLE BRAND COOKIES & TREATS" cookbook and thought it would fit the bill.  The first batch is in the oven and hopefully will turn out good.

CHOCOLATE CHIP TREASURE COOKIES

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time:  9 to 10 minutes
Yield:  approx 3 dozen

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 (14 ounce) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

1.  Preheat oven to 375 F.  In small bowl, combine crumbs, flour and baking powder.

2.  In large bowl, beat Condensed Milk and butter until smooth.  Add crumb mixture; mix well.  Stir in coconut, chips and walnuts.

3.  Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.  Bake 9 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.  Store loosely covered at room temperature.

Note:  prep time is fairly accurate (unless of course you have to scoot out to the store to get baking powder because it got used up and not put on the grocery list  ??? ::) ) and cooking time i found to be best for 9 minutes.  I also did not put in the walnuts.

Sue - this sounds so good.... what would they be like without the coconut?  I'm not fond of coconut.

ANYTHING with sweetened condensed milk has to be good!  At least, I have found any thing NOT with that ingredient in it.

These are different.  Graham cracker crumbs...  Almost the same ingredients as 'Magic Cookie Bars' or some people call them 'Hello, Dollys!'.  Maybe 7-Layer bars.  Coconut, nuts, chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk AND graham cracker crumbs....you can't go wrong!

Marilyn

This sounds terrific. I am going tog et the ingredients and try these. I love coconut and chocolate chips  too.

My partner doesn't like chocolate, but managed to put away a half dozen cookies so far, so I guess they've passed the test...lol  ;D

Judy, I don't think they'd turn out without the coconut.  It adds texture and thickens the batter for cooking.  I don't know what you could substitute instead of coconut.  If you can think of something, let me know, I'd be willing to try it too.

Wonderful sounding and wonderful looking cookies!  I must try these next time I hear my grandkids are coming.

Thanks Sue!
