Welcome Linda to Christian Photographers. We are looking forward to meeting you and learning more about your. I live in Oregon with my hubby, 2 cats and 2 dogs. I am a real amateur photographer every now and then I capture something fantastic. You don't have to be a photographer to join this forum some are and some are not.
come on over to the Though for the Week (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=12026.msg168151#msg168151) discussion and meet the gang.
It's so good to learn you've come to our great "home" - Christian Photographers.
I'm one that doesn't take many photos, but the fellowship here is priceless.
I'm in Nashville, home of country music.
Well, hope to see you with us in our discussions.

A big :welcome: to you, Linda! It's lovely to have you here.
Hello everyone. I am new to CP tho I registered months ago. I have been using a site called Chime.in and met several other Christian Photographers on that site and really liked it but there was absolutely no control who followed your interests at all and it seemed most of the followers were of the solicitation types and all international...not at all who I was comfortable having access to all the photos I had posted there...I am purely amateur...use a Sony AF DSC H-2 and really have no desire to step up to a DSLR...I am waiting till I can afford one of the new compact cameras with interchangeable lenses...
I am 64 years old, a retired trauma RN with 34 years work behind me...have some health problems, but nothing God and I cannot handle together...My husband of 34 years is retired from Law Enforcement, and together we own Morton Farm Beefmasters in Central Texas. He was born here as was his father and we love this spirit filled old farmhouse that has raised so many productive Christian citizens of the great state of Texas.
I am so looking for a photography site where the photos are viewed for the enjoyment with which I post them and constructive criticism is gently given without judgement, or not at all unless really needed...as I said...I am not a pro and make no claim to be...I just love the captured image, old or new, the history of the old, and the creativity of the new, and the God given talent so prevalent in many photographers, past and present....God Bless You all and Pray I can figure out how to post photos on here....lol LindaC. <3
Hi Linda!!!
It's great to read your post!
I hope that you'll feel right at home here at
:cp:
We are a group of mostly amateurs and we have a great time together. We regularly meet together daily in our "Thoughts for the Week" and we share each other's burdens, prayers and praise and even recipes, etc.
I hope we'll see you there.
Pat :)
Hey, Linda!
You'll see that we welcomed you last November when you registered so I've merged the two topics so that you can enjoy your original welcome messages!
Again, great to have you here.
Linda, here's a link to our
Thoughts for the Week (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=12364.0) for this week.
See you there!
Linda, we are pleased to welcome you to our site. You won't find any particular critique of your photos unless you ask for it, only messages of enjoyment in viewing them. We love the Lord and we love each other.
You will find a great group of caring Christians and I encourage you to join in the conversations in our "Thoughts for the Week", the current week's messages are HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=12364.0), and don't miss our "Prayer and Praise" topic HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?board=3.0).
Scroll down the main menu and join in any of the subjects that interest you. We've just finished voting for our latest mini challenge. Check it out HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=12311.0). The winners will be posted soon.
Posting your photos is easy, there are some instructions in the "How To" section HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?board=92.0) and if you need any help, just holler! :)
Pat....Thank you for both wonderful welcomes....I had no problems at all locating both sets of posts and it was so thoughtful of you to merge them...Now if I can just figure out how to post some photos, I will try to get some posted over the next week or so and do look forward to joining the Thoughts for the week and other discussions to be found here...It will be nice to have other Christian, God fearing folk to talk and share with...LindaC.
I'm glad you found the merged topic, Linda!!!!
I just went through shoulder surgery about 6 weeks ago and I'm still typing with one finger as a result so this won't be long! ;)
Welcome Linda nice to see you here and loear a little bit about your and your husband.
Linda, glad you have found us again. Welcome.
Welcome, Linda  It's great to meet you ... hopefully we'll be seeing you often in the various discussions ... I don't show up too often, myself, 'cause I'm not a photographer :-[ But I am a Christian, so that qualifies me. ;)
I look forward to seeing some of your photography efforts. I promise I will not offer any critique other than how much I enjoy your efforts. :)
See you around the forum ... and, once again :welcome:
Welcome Linda! This is a very comfortable place to visit. We are happy to meet you.
Hi, Linda, I can't give you a like to it, but our site has How-To Tips, so maybe that will help you with posting photos.
I, too, am not a photographer, but certainly love the Christians who participate here.
Welcome home!
:)

Hi Linda. Great to have you here. I am not a photographer, but someone who is often blessed by the thoughts and advice shared on here. My faith is very important to me, so I find the sharing and caring so readily available on this site a big support and encouragement in my daily life. Don't often post in thoughts for the week, but do read through it regularly.
I hope you find this site, and the wonderful, supportive family here, a blessing too.
Bonnie
