I'm so happy to see you!  I was just admiring one of your photos on Photo-World--the one of the boat at low tide!  I love that.  I miss the sea.  I used to live in Ireland.

I've just put a welcome message for you in "New Every Morning!"  Make sure you see it, Gareth!

I'm not new but since everyone interduce themselves I thought I would too.

My name is Sonja or Soni and I love taking pictures and spreading Gods word.  
My hobbies are photography, dancing, drawing, hiking, biking, rock hunting and spending time with the Lord

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in my life until I picked up a camera.  I knew the very moment I stuck that digital camera in my hand that that is what I wanted to be,  "a photographer."

I am a homeschooling mom and find that very rewarding to spend time with my children and teach them as they, in turn teach me.  

Growing in the Lord is what I strive to do.  I want to learn more about Him and what he has planned for me.  Each day is a blessing from Him.

Hi, I'm Kim Goforth.  I've had an interest in photography since high school, but have only been able to really pursue the hobby in the last 4 years.

I have really had fun finding the right shot for powerpoint backgrounds, since our church now has an LCD projector.

Lovely to meet you Kim   I hope you enjoy this website as much as we do.  You will find very pleasant Christian folk who will take an interest in you in this website.

In the short time that I have been visiting Christian Photographers, I have been impressed by  your expressions of  Faith, and the welcome that you have given to me. I am glad there is a Christian site like this dedicated to God's word, and am looking forward to getting to know you.

So I thank you and I  thank Pat Scott and others, who have encouraged me to join. Being a retired senior (75+), learning is a slow process now, and I will try hard to take an active part on here after learning my way around.

The Lord has been active in my life since the early days in Sunday School in a personal way and I hope that  I can learn to share with you. I hope that you will see what I am trying to say in my photos about the beauty in God's world.

Hello all -

My name is Larry Maupin -- will go by larrym because there already is another Larry here.

The Lord is doing great things in me - bringing me into a new understanding of his will for me and my photography. I am married with three grown children and two beautiful granddaughters. I have been a nurseryman/landscaper/horticulturist all of my life and now am photo editor/photographer for a large horticultural printing company in Dallas, Texas, USA.

I have a part time business (Maupin Photography) as a freelance garden writer/photographer and specialize in digital imaging of nature subjects. I am working with two web designers to build a professional website -- not finished yet -- www.maupinphotography.com. I use Photoshop 7.0 on my eMac and love them both, and my main camera is a Canon EOS 10D. My 35mm and medium format cameras have been idle since I got the Canon 10D.

Thanks for having this site. I have never found one quite like this. I look forward to participating as much as possible, but I wish I had more free time (don't we all.)

LarryM - My husband is a retired horticulturist too.  He graduated from a horticultural school in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and from the University here in our home town.  He is also a tree surgeon.

I am happy to be here. I love the Lord, and I am passionate about photography, so this is a perfect place to be. Thank you for creating it. I am from southern Indiana, and I have been a believer since 1977, and a photographer since 1988. I have seen some of the work done here, and I am very impressed by what I see.

I found this place from Pinkies club at yahoo. Unfortunately, it seems that it is gone now. But I see her work here too, so that is a blessing.

Hi My name is Katherine (Kathy) Westgate.  I have also been a Christian since I was a very little girl.  As a young teenager I gave my life to the Lord and have been following Him since.  I had the privilage of having an extremely creative and talented mother who share those gift with me, passing on her love for art and beauty to me.  I have always love to capture the beauty of God's creation in my art (drawing, painting and chalk) even while I was a kid.  As an adult, I continued to enjoy those though time was limited once I had a family to take care of.  I also enjoyed photograph to a limited extent but the cost was not with in my means.  However, with the coming of age of digital photography, I have jumped in with both feet.  I can take as my pictures as I like - practice, practice, practice - and the ones that are no good just get deleted.  I really enjoy spending hours on my computer with my photos.  I use PhotoImpact 8 by Ulead products and recently have done some playing around with Windows movie maker.  I am going with my church group to central Mexico (our 3rd trip since '96) and am preparing to use my photography as a ministry while we are there.  Our group will go out in the small villages taking a couple of puppet programs, music and my photography.  I will be taking photos of the children and then pasteing and laminating their photos together with small bookmarks with the gospel message to give back to the children.  I am also hoping to take lots of photos of the people and put it together later as a documentation of our trip.

Anyway, that is a little about me.  I am looking forward to joining in here (as time allows)  I work full time and also am taking some college classes, as well as starting to build my own photography business, and of course take care of my home and family as well.  I am eager to learn new things so if any one has any tips, I am open to help.
