Title: Introducing myself
Post by: Vernon on August 10, 2005, 05:27:41 PM
My name is Vernon Fletcher and I am from Pretoria, South Africa. I am a reborn christian for 14 years now and loving it. I am 52years old and married to my best friend in the world, Mari. We both have a passion for the LORD. We both love photography and wish to use this to capture the whole of GOD's creation, if at all possible. My username, Frantz, was my dad's 2nd name whom I loved very much. Thats about it. Kind regards, Frantz

Welcome, Frantz!

I'm so glad to see you here and I know that you'll be made to feel very welcome by the others.

We use the New Every Morning for today's date (it's locked each evening and started over for the next day with a short devotional) to meet up with the others.  You might like to see todays ( ;) )  The devotional was a copy of a little article that my father wrote before he died.

Here's a link to the New Every Morning for today and I know that there is already a welcome in there to you!

WElcome Frantz!  my husband (nards656) has a cousin who is a missionary in South Africa right now.  Klasdorf or something like that.  They are really liking it, but it is taking some adjustment!  (THey have four kids -- 2, 4, 6, 8 ) :)

Hi Vernon, welcome to CP...  Pat was really keen on letting me look at your great photos... love the Wildebees and felt a little nostalgic at the site of CTown.  Where in Pta do you fellowship?  I went to Hatfield several times when I lived in Sinoville.

Talk later... Pat has given me a task!  Upload 4 photos!

Title: Introducing myself from tropical Malaysia
Post by: Kon on August 23, 2005, 03:56:24 AM
Hi folks,
Christian Love & "Warmest" (pun intended) greetings from tropical Malaysia.
Almost everything is HOT here - weather, political/religious issues, etc., including love for Christ in spite of many challenges.
Briefly: I'm a semi-retiree that recently rekindled my childhood hobby which started with a Kodak Brownie back in the early 50's.  Now more into digital photo/videography.
So glad to be "introduced" to this forum by a Pat?? @ PhotoCamel forum (of which I'm also a member).  It's a "good feeling" to be among those of like faith, passion & vision  :)
Hope to learn new "tricks" from this forum, esp. ways to capture & share God's marvellous creation with an unbelieving world that says, "Seeing is believing"  ;)

Until we meet again.  I thank God for this CP community.
BTW, may I know the countries represented in CPC?
Maranatha.
With Blessings & Prayers,
Kon

WELCOME Kon!

I'm so glad you saw my sig on PhotoCamel and came to check out our site.  We're "quiet" at the moment but trying to figure out some changes on the site but we still have a great group of members who will make you feel very welcome indeed.

I'm in Canada and there are many in the USA and we have a few in the UK and some scattered around other parts of the globe.  Someday, we might have a Member Map for folks to file in and then we'll have a visual where people are.

We have a Gallery if you click on the button above and please feel free to Create your Album and then upload to this gallery any of your photos.  We upload 4 per day.  I keep mine at about 800 or 900 pixels on the longest side and about 150K in size on the average.

If you have any trouble, we'll help!

Again, a great big welcome to you!

Port Elizabeth!  The pastor of the church we used to attend in Richmond Hill here was from Port Elizabeth.  He's gone home to be with the Lord now but his name was Pastor Arnot and his father following in the footsteps of David Livingstone many, many years ago.  He was a wonderful teacher.

Hi Pat, I do not know that Pastor, but this world we live in sure is small. ;)

I'm really blessed to have found so many new brothers and sisters in the LORD. ESPECIALLY people from all over the world.

God Bless you all. :)

Vernon, I missed your reply first time.  Just to let you know I lived in Walmer in the early 70's and was looking at class photos.  I had a Vernon in one of the photos of Walmer School.  Funny if you were him.

Blessings
