Hello everyone!

Mieka introduced me to this site and has been telling me all about how wonderful everyone here is.  I am taking a beginners black and white photography class this semester and I really love it. So Im excited to see what everyone one else is posting and learn from you guys, as well as to get some helpful advice about my own pictures.

I am a 25 year old college student living in Sacramento, California. I live with an adorable pomeranian pup, a gorgeous siamese cat, and 2 chinchillas who just had a baby a month ago. (can you tell Im an animal lover?) My focus in school is American Sign Language Interpreting. I am almost done with the program and just got my first job working with deaf people this week.

This is a christian site, and although I am not christian, Mieka felt that it would be ok, so I hope I am still welcome. I am agnostic, and still searching, questioning and learning. I am definately not here to belittle anyone's beliefs, and am more than happy to comply with the values set for this site.

Hi Kittykins ... It's wonderful that you have come here ... and wonderful that our Mieka has encouraged you to sign up.  We love her and will also love you ... I'm looking forward to seeing our photos.  I am not a photographer like some of the others here, but I look forward to getting to know you and seeing your work.

P.S. I know a lot about Sacramento, having lived there for nearly 40 years .... I have grandkids and great grandkids <as well as many friends> living there.

It's great to have you here, Kittykins!  A great big warm Canadian welcome to you! Thanks for posting your introduction.  And as Etta Sue has already said, Mieka is loved by everyone on here.  She's one special gal!  I'm really looking forward to seeing your work.  (I've already seen your first 3 in your gallery)

Jane - wow, 40 years in Sac. Ive been here about 4 years, but I am seriously considering moving to Oregon when Im done with school. Its gorgeous there! Especially the western side. So maybe I will follow your tracks there! hehe.

Etta Sue - Thats really cool how you did the fingerspelled 'welcome'! You guys do some fancy things on your posts. Im happy if I can do a smilie. 

Pat - Thanks for the welcome, and yes, I feel very grateful to have met Mieka. She is a wonderful friend, and very talented photographer!

Like some others, I'm not a photographer either, but I do love the fellowship that we share on here.

I live in the same city as Pat , our Administrator, and I join with the others in welcoming you here too.

Anyone who loves animals, is A-OK in my books!...lol - I have a little dog named Rags (Shih Tsu).

I am SO excite to see more of the pictures you take here.  I just know every one will love them. 

Please go to the "New Every Morning" and you can see every one there.  You can tell every one when you did put a more pictures here for every one to see.  It is easy I think and I will try to learn it too.
