Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Hello Christian Photographers!

I recently stumbled on this site as I was looking for forums that glorify God. Since getting into photography, I've been on secular forums that seem to degenerate into pornography passed off as art.

After being raised in a secular, yet morally good, home where I was taught solid, old-fashioned, foundational values, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior(1990 after hearing the testimony of Charlie and Dottie Duke - Apollo 16, youngest person to walk on the moon). The change was so instant in me that my husband also accepted Jesus 2 weeks later. At that point, we had one baby daughter. After 27 years of marriage, we raised and homeschooled our 7 children. In 2014, he was diagnosed with extremely aggressive cancer (age 46). Three years later in 2017, he went on to be with the Lord. A year after his death, and upon realizing that my kids were all leaving the nest at a rather quickening rate now, I decided to pursue something I had always loved to do - photography. I signed up for 4 online courses with The New York Institute of Photography (Fundamentals of Digital Photography, Professional Photography, Photoshop, and Business for Photography). The business course was more than I had anticipated. By the end, I was required to have a photography business up and running. Despite the anxiety involved in all that, it was good for me because my future goal became a pressing, present reality. These days I am daily building on my photography skills through practice, articles/videos, and forums as well as booking very, very occasional photography jobs for others. Of late, I have been feeling a desire to serve the Lord through photography; but at this point, I'm not sure where to start (except at the best place - prayer).

Looking forward to getting to know and fellowshipping with other Christian photographers on this site. Thank you for providing a source like this for Christians!

Jenny...a warm welcome from UK from me...Happy to have a new member although very few regulars now post on our forum nowadays but, your post might encourage others to join.....
...My story i lost my hubby - partner suddenly 2 years ago at age 74, he died on the exact same date i was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at age 64, just 4 years apart.....Since moving closer to back home, i am now attending - settled in two local churches, one has more things happening during the week than the other but, i am finally getting involved in all they have on offer and my first church bible reading takes place this Sunday in-front of our Baptist congregation....I am saddened you was widowed at such a young age...

Hello Jacqueline!

Thank you so much for your kind welcome. I appreciated it very much. I really hope this forum picks up because it can really be a blessing for others!

I am so sorry about you both losing your husband and being diagnosed with MS. How many years had you been married? Now that you're closer to home, are you closer to family as well? Let me know how the church Bible reading goes for you tomorrow. I am in Pennsylvania, United States; so I'm guessing you're getting ready to end your day there in the UK soon! Are you able to photograph regularly even with your disability?

Don't be sad by being widowed. The Lord has blessed beyond what I deserve!

I was looking through this forum, but I'm having trouble knowing where to start. What do you think?

Hello Jacqueline!

I got your messages in my inbox, but I'm not able to reply to them. Is there something I'm not seeing? Thanks!

Good Afternoon Jenny.  It is good to see you here!

Olease come to Thoughts for the week so everyone can see you!  I am in Canada, NE Ontario.

I will be putting up a new devotional for October this week.  I am late, due to an injury I have had... Getting better though.

My sister was the one who started Christian Photographers many years ago, and she would be so happy to see us trying to continue with her 'baby'.

Hope to see you in thoughts of the week soon!

Hi Judy! Just got back online. I spilled an entire cup of coffee on my laptop; so had to deal with a new computer unboxing then had a bunch of photo shoots come up. Now things have finally calmed down. Thank you for your reply to my post. I opened Thoughts for the Week in a separate tab and will be checking it next.

Sorry about your injury. I hope by now things are better for you! Looking forward to your devotional. Also, looking forward to the Christian fellowship here. THANK YOU again for replying. I appreciate it!
