Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Hello  RachelleAZ.

We're really pleased to be able to welcome you to Christian Photographers!!

Once you've had a look round you might like to create your own album to upload photographs and here is a link which will help you to do that:
http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5357.0

The heart of Christian Photographers is the main Gallery page, where we can all show our photographs and get some comments and/or helpful advice on how to improve if we request that. There is a shoutbox you can use to ask for help, too, at the side of the page.

We have all levels of skills here so never be afraid to share your photographs!

There's lots to do, both serious and fun so enjoy your time on here RachelleAZ!  :)

RachelleAZ

Hello,

My name is Rachelle. I have been married to my best friend for 20 years and we have five children, four girls and a boy.  I first heard about this forum from my friend Jocelyn (jocelynaz). I also have another friend here, Gabriel.

I have loved photography since I was a child. Using mostly point and shoot type cameras though I did take a photography class in high school, using my dad's 35mm film camera, that I enjoyed very much.

My first digital camera was an Olympus Camedia, not the best but the beginning of my love of digital photography. I loved that the pictures went on the computer, that they could be messed with/fixed in photo software and that I could print them myself. I also realized that I was very limited in what types of pictures I could take with that camera. I really wanted to take up close, detailed photographs similar to what professionals could do. Our next camera was a Rebel XT. What wonderful change from the Camedia. What beautiful pictures at the click of a button. My second daughter fell in love with photography with that camera. I gave up my job as family photographer for the most part and my daughter took my place. My oldest also having an interest in photography, along with a big vacation, helped us to make the decision to buy a second camera, a Canon Rebel XTi. We now have thousands and thousands of pictures taking up hard drive space around our house!

My two oldest daughters joined this forum with me today ... RebekahAZ and BethanyAZ.

I am glad to be here and look foreword to getting to know you all.

WELCOME, RACHELLE, and you and your daughters as well should come on over to Thoughts For The Week.  It's our coffeeshop (we all love to talk).

Pat

Ohhh, Rachelle, it's wonderful to have you here.  I've seen your daughter's posts and now yours and it's so heartwarming to read.

Yes, as Al Moak has said, we have a Coffee Shop that we call "Thoughts for the Week" that we start each Sunday night with a new devotional thought and then we use it to post in all week until the next Sunday.

So it will be nice to see you all there.

Again, a big :welcome: to you all from all of us here at

Rachelle, WELCOME!!   :D

It's great to have you and your daughters here with us.  We already are enjoying Gabriel and Jocyeln, and what a great friendship you all must enjoy there in AZ.

By the way, what part of AZ are you from?  I will be at a (small) family reunion at Oro Valley the last week of August.  I say small because there are only a few of us left!  My brother lives in Phoenix, he and my two sisters and my two daughters and I will be getting together for the first time in many, many years.  It should be a good time (even with the heat!).
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Just found this welcome message as I was looking for Pat's E mail address, So from me Michael, A big welcome to you Rachelle, I guess the AZ stands for Arizona. You know, we expect seeing pictures from you, helps to get to know a new member better, and see what makes them tick.

ScottyBoy

Welcome to all three of you! I also hope to see some of you pictures.

Summicron

Looks like you're busy Scotty old pall, the computers intercepting all your replies.

Hi, Mrs. J!  I am glad to see you on here!  From reading your post and the two from your girls, I learned more about you three in a minute than I have ever before.  But anyways, enjoy the site!
