Hello  StudioMenno.

We're really pleased to be able to welcome you to Christian Photographers!!

Once you've had a look round you might like to create your own album to upload photographs and here is a link which will help you to do that:
http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=7057.0

The heart of Christian Photographers is the main Gallery page, where we can all show our photographs and get some comments and/or helpful advice on how to improve if we request that.

We have all levels of skills here so never be afraid to share your photographs!

There's lots to do, both serious and fun so enjoy your time on here {username}!  :)

Thank you for your welcome, JudyB. Since this topic is in the Introduce Yourself forum, that is exactly what I plan to do.

My name is Menno Manheim and I live in Lelystad in the Netherlands. I was raised a non-believer, but found God in the mid nineties. In 2000 Jesus saved me from drug addiction when I was able to give my complete life to him. I am married to Christien since 2002 and our daughter Noömi was born in 2005. We are active in a local evangelical church.

Photography has been a hobby for many years now and earlier this year I had the chance to start a photo studio so I decided to be a professional photographer. This is only an indication that I do charge people to take pictures and does not say anything about the level of expertise. I find there are many professional photographers that not good and there are many hobby photographers with a skill that I currently can only dream of. Being a photographer is also just my second job which I practice outside of the hours I need to spend in my daytime job that is still required to make a living. But I do hope that over time I will be able to support our family with photography as the main source of income.

I am specialized in portraits and model photography and I also do weddings and other events and I like to call myself a people photographer. It is the combination of working with people and making beautiful photos is what I like most about what I do.

I am looking for fellowship with other Christian photographers because I want to use the photography more to Gods honor than I currently do. My studio is in a building with other small creative companies and in this building I have the opportunity to exhibit my work. I want to use this opportunity to show the people more of God and now I am thinking of ways to do that. So that is the main reason why I am here. To learn how my Christian brothers and sisters show God in their photography so that I can find a way to do that with my work.

I hope that in this community I will find people with the same love for Jesus and with whom I can build a friendship with mutual support.

Regards,

Menno
