Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Beautiful Mario....Oh that parents could discipline today.   Fear of authorities stops so many.

A family friend used to tell her young son "Dire catastrophe is going to catch up with the seat of your britches."  Imagine what trouble such a threat would bring to a mother these days!

That is why we have so many unruly children and teens

Discipline does not have to be harsh. My wife and I disciplined our three daughters by examples. Living by Jesus teachings that good tree bears good fruits.

I received this from a friend on discipline.

We might be good to remember Proverbs 22:6, 22:15, and 23:13.  While those are specific texts, the principle is taught throughout Scripture.  We brought up our children to know that there are consequences for their actions.  Good actions bring good rewards.  Bad behavior, painful rewards.  Some might consider that harsh.  I consider it biblical.  I set their butts on fire a number of times.  They did not die.  We were also very careful to reward them positively for their Godly behavior, too.  They are 28 and 24 now and living for Christ.  A couple of years ago at dinner, they thanked me for disciplining them in accordance with the Word.  God, my wife and I were smiling.

I comment this friend, for having the courage to "set their butts on fire", Often that is the only answer to rebellion, regardless what the 'discipline authorities' think.

There are those children whou could use a little more than just lectures. But then again there are those parenrts like my mother who was extreme. More of a punisher than a disciplinarian. Talking about butt on fire, I can easily relate to that and more. I still feel there was no need for how she delivered the very harsh punishment.

There was a time when my eldest daughter who just turned eighteen at the time, confronted me as to why I still asked questions: like, where are you going? who are you going with? and what time would you be home? According to her, she was already an adult and knew what was good from bad. After all, she was already eighteen.

I held my ground and calmly answered, " Honey, I never doubted your character. I raised you to be a good girl and you grew up to be a responsible woman. I ask questions simply because I care for you. If the questions bother you, then maybe I should stop asking. But I can only stop asking when I stop caring. Do you want that?

My daughter hugged me and cried, " Papa, please, don't stop caring. I want you to care."
