Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Judy and Marilyn, would this be where our brother, Al, is at this time?

Ruth Ann, that link is to a hospital in Tacoma, Washington.... Al is in Eureka, California.   :-\

Ruth Ann Bice

I'm so sorry, Jane. Did you look on their website to see if that hospital is in their group? I saw tabs for several hospital locations...

Thanks! :)

HOORAY!!

After Jane set me on the right track, our Lord helped me to not only locate the hospital, but also to speak directly with Al. He said he took a little walk down the hallway today, and Marbeth answered the phone, so it was great to know they could be together today.

Yes, let's do pray for them both, and possibly we could shower them with cards of encouragement, too, while he's there.

Love to all,
Ruth Ann

Praise God!  I know Al is in good hands, but I pray for Marbeth and what she is having to endure ... please know I am in prayer daily for them both ... and for Al's quick and complete recovery.

Let's keep up our support - a sort-of "call Al calendar would be great." I could call on either Wednesdays or Thursdays.

A dear friend of mine was in the hospital for an entire year, and someone organized a "visit her once a month" group and even had some people who volunteered as substitutes. It really helped tremendously.

By the way, that friend was visited every single day, but each person only visited once a month. I didn't phrase that very well.

Thanks for making me feel more sane tonight, Judy. My emotions are pretty fragile tonight. Maybe some prayer support could help for the next few days.

Thanks to y'all for your loving care toward all of us.

Pat

We got home late, late, late tonight from Winchester, VA.  We took two days this time and it was really nice.

Thanks, Judy, for setting this up and please, add my name and Paul's too.

Continuing to pray for our wonderful brother, Al!

Checking in this pretty but cold Sunday morning.  It was 27 degrees F. when we left for the early service and I was wishing we could go to the mid service at least but this is the one that is much more peaceful.

Prayers for Al.

Pat:  I just love the color of your new flower.  It goes so nicely with my paint!!!  Hugs to you & Paul.  Did you get the van good to go?  Car problems are such a nuisance.  Happy American Thanksgiving to you - nice that you celebrate twice.

Pat

I will ask Judy to be in touch via email to all of us who have volunteered to call our dear brother.

We can set up a "group" on our email and if we need to let the others know something important, we can send to the "group".

Thank you Judy for setting this up.

Pat

I have moved some of the posts in here this evening that had to do with getting our names on the list that Judy is working on.  We will discuss the telephone calls via email.  We are still hoping for more to volunteer to telephone him.  Please contact Judy to add your name.

Let's continue to pray for our dear brother.

As we hear updated news, we will post it in here.

So sorry, I will keep both Al and Marbeth in my prayers.

Prayers continue for Al and Marbeth. May His grace be sufficient during this trial.

Al is no longer at the hospital and I didn't get an answer at his house. Does anyone know where he is?

I wonder if he was let out for thanksgiving and has gone to family or friends?

Marilyn

The hospital said they didn't have anyone there by that name. He could be in the Rehab place. But there are a few of those, they did mention SeaView to Marbeth and Al but Marbeth said that was too far away. We will have to contact Marbeth to find out.

Thanks for keeping us up to date, Marilyn. It certainly seems that our prayers must continue to support Al and Marbeth as he improves.

JudyB

Marilyn Could you please see if you can contact Marbeth, I have tried 4 - 5 times today and Jeanne has tried.  We keep getting the answering machine.  Any info you could get us would be appreciated.

Jane Walker

Al is in Eureka Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, in Eureka, California,  but there are no phones in the rooms and they don't take a phone to the patients .... There is a number where you can talk with his nurse, however ... 707-445-3261

The plan is that he will be released to return home soon.  Keep praying.

Thank you Jane.  We will keep praying!

Marilyn

When I spoke to Don this  morning he had not been to see Al for a week to  a week and a half but said he was improving. Every time I call Marbeth I get the machine too, I've left messages but she isn't returning the calls. When you talk to the nurse at Rehab, they probably won't give any info to anyone other than his family. That has been the case in the past when I've had clients there.

Good news that Al has progressed to the rehab center and hopefully soon will be able to return home.

Carol

Grateful for the news of Al being in rehab and now his healing will progress faster as long as we keep up the prayers as well.

Pat

Marilyn, thank you so much!

Hopefully he'll be home soon.

I looked up the facility's address, and today have written Al a little note letting him know we're praying for both him and Marbeth.

The address there is:

Eureka Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Lp
2353 Twenty-Third St
Eureka, CA,   95501

Phone (707) 445-3261

Thank you each for sharing the information about him.

I was speaking to Marbeth last night.  Don has a Doctor he likes coming to see him I believe today.  The infection seems to be gone, the diabetes is under control it is just one last issue medically to be cleared up, and Al back on his feet.

He is becoming quite discouraged.

He wants Marbeth with him every day and she is feeling it.

He is hoping this Doctor can clear up this last issue.

Those are the issues to be prayed for.
