Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Dear Friends,  I am in shock as I write this.  About 5 hours ago, we received news that my sister-in-law, Barbara, was in a fatal car accident tonight, in Texas. She leaves behind a husband and 2 young boys ages 10 & 7. Please be in prayer for her family! We are all saddened by this sudden loss of life here on this earth. We rejoice knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior!! Alleluia!!

Mixed blessing.  I am saddened by your news, but praising God that she is with Him and He is in control.

We don't have the answers to WHY these tragedies happen, BUT rest assured God knows.

I am praying that the family feels his arms around them and this leads many to her the Lord and Saviour.

Such a sudden loss is always a shock.  But our Heavenly Father is always there to hold and comfort with His peace.

Ohhh, Kathleen, I'm so very saddened to read this but how wonderful to know that she has been promoted to Glory.

My thoughts and prayers will be with her dear family and with you as well, Kathleen.

Kathleen, I know this is a terrible shock for all, and I am, most certainly, praying for that husband and young boys.  How devastated they must be feeling right now.  It will take time and a lot of compassionate care and support for them to be able to adjust to the fact that she is with the Lord, whom she loves.   :'(

Thank you all so much.  I can truly feel the prayers of so many, holding us up right now.  It all still feels like a bad dream and that it can't really be happening.  This is another in a string of losses for our family, on both sides.  3 parents and 4 siblings have gone on to heaven, now.  We are comforted to know they are all with Jesus and we will one day see them again.  I just said after the funeral 4 weeks ago, that I was praying Jesus would return before we lose someone else.  Well, that was not His will.  I also know that we have family members (not to mention friends and others) who are not saved, yet and I know God is tarrying for that reason.  He is not willing that any should perish.  I agree.  But it still is not easy.

The service is next Thursday night, the 21st. if you would please pray for safe travels for all that are going to Texas for it.  This will get so much harder when we see the boys and their dad, and their cousins that live one house down from them and are quite close to them, also.  It will be just so heart breaking and my heart already feel so heartbroken I can't imagine it feeling any worse right now.

Dear, Kathleen, I'm so very sorry for your family's loss. If there's anything I can do, please let me know. I'll be praying for you and your family.

What has happened is surely devastating.  I add my amen to the prayers of the others here.  May our Father comfort and strengthen dad and boys and use all these things to draw them to Himself.

My prayers for the family also and Amen to those already said

Kathleen, it is at times like this that I feel the utter inadequacy of mere words.  But please know that we care, that we are praying for you and for this dad and his boys.  I pray there is someone who can reach out in the love of God over the long haul, to comfort and help these loved ones to heal.  God bless.

Thank you all for the prayers.  We are back from the service in Texas.  It has been an exhausting, emotional week.  Just before we left for the service, Thursday night, I found out my friend was in a head-on collision on Wednesday night and was in critical condition.  She then suffered a massive stroke on Thursday, and she died Friday.  Please pray for her husband and 6 children.  Her children are from elementary school age to college.  Her oldest is engaged to be married.  Please pray for her family and church family, her husband is a pastor, as they deal with her death.

In my humanity, I just can't figure out why all this is happening, but I do know that the Lord will carry us through.  I'm just at a place right now where all I can do is cry and I know that the Holy Spirit is interceding on my behalf.  I just have no words to pray.  They are too hidden by the pain of all the loss I feel.

Oh Kathleen this is so sad.  We don't understand the why's and wherefore's and we look with blinders on.  Isn't it wonderful to know that our Lord has the BIG picture and can see and understand all!

Father be with this church community and help them make some sense of this.  We know we won't know the answers till glory, but till then Lor hold each hurting heart in your hand.  Let them feel your peace that passes all our human understanding.

Amen, Judy ... Kathleen I am praying, too.  I do understand the inability to find words to even pray through the grief and shock.  That is when it is so important to have friends, like here on CP, to take over for you.  All the why's and pain of heartache will only find answers when we all see Jesus face to face.  As the song goes "We'll understand it all bye and bye ..."

My sister called last night to tell me my Uncle died, most likely of a heart attack, in his sleep Sunday night.  His daughter found him Monday morning.  She was living with him.

Please pray for them.  He was NOT saved.  Of all the people I've lost, this is the one that is not in heaven and even though I haven't seen him in many years, it is hard knowing he is now in hell and I will not see him again.  Please pray for his immediate family as they also are not saved.

Kathleen it is said things happen in threes.  I pray this is the last.  It is always sad when a loved one doesn't know the Lord.  Yes I am praying for you as you walk this difficult road.

Thanks, Judy.  It's actually 4 now, counting my friend, so I thought we were done.  I guess God doesn't use our rule of 3's. He is still as He ever was...all-loving, all-knowing, all-powerful, and He still works in strange and mysterious ways, which I know not.

Kathleen, I have given all these prayer requests to the Holy Spirit for His intercession, because I am completely at a loss how to pray for you and all those involved in these latest happenings.   :'(

Kathleen I don't know what to say, god hears our prayers and I have added mine to all  those already said. Even though I don't not have the words to say the Holy Spirit prays for me so I have given it all to the Holy Spirit and to Jesus who intercedes for us.

Kathleen, I am thinking of the scripture that says something like--when we are overwhelmed and don't know what to do, then He takes us up in His loving arms and carries us until we gain the strength to go on.  This must surely be how you are feeling just now.  May the prayers of your sisters and brothers here on CP bring God's comfort, healing and peace to your battered and hurting heart.  (((((hugs))))).

It is usually assumed that pastors are trained and full of  all the answers.  Nothing could be further from the truth!  But I do pray that our God will use all of even these sorrowful things to bring glory to Himself and good to you, Kathleen, and to all His people.  I am a pastors, but I confess that I do not know what to say.  But our Father does know, and His Word is full of all the right things.  The Lord bless you and keep you.  The Lord make His face to shine upon you.  The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.  Amen.

Carol

Kathleen:  My prayers for you and all of your family and friends, especially for the children who have lost a parent.

Thank you all so much for your prayers!  They are keeping me afloat.  Here's an update I posted in the Thoughts for the Week.  I am sorry if all details don't quite match up exactly.  It's a short-term memory, grief issue thing...

Hello friends,  I thought I'd pop in and let you know I'm still alive, though struggling a bit.  September 5th began a very difficult time of loss for our family.  We lost my stop-mother-n-law to cancer.  Some of you had been praying for & I thank you.  (we flew to Socal for the memorial) Then, about 5 weeks later, my sister-in-law was killed in a car accident, leaving behind a husband and two young sons. (we flew to Texas for the memorial) Just before we left for her service I got a call that my friend had been in a car accident.  She died two days later, leaving behind a husband and 6 children.  When we arrived back home, I got a call that my Uncle (not saved) had died. Then, another friend died after our return home as well.  During this same 12 week time period, more difficult issues surfaced that we are also having to deal with and grieve over as a family.

Needless to say, I've been reeling!  At times it has felt like I can't catch my breath before the next wave hits.  It's been difficult to concentrate or focus on anything.  It seems just survival and breathing take up all of my energy.  It's been hard to process everything since just when I've begun to deal with one loss the next one hit.  God is good, though, and faithful to support us in this difficult time and we are beginning to heal from all of this loss and trauma.  Please pray for all the families of these dear people, especially the spouses and children.  I will post this in the prayer thread as well.

Please keep me & my family in your prayers as this will be a long road to complete healing.  It is encouraging that all of these but one are now in the arms of Jesus.

Have a wonderful day, filled with God's blessings!  God is good, all the time!

Continuing to pray.  Thank you for the update.

My dear, I almost got dizzy just reading about what you've been dealing with.

I pray our Heavenly Father wraps His loving arms around you and your family, as well as the other families concerned, and give the comfort and unspeakable peace that only He can give.
