Please pray for my niece, Dawn, my sister's only surviving daughter. They had three children; two daughters, of which the youngest died in 1989 at the age of 18 and a son.

Last October my niece was diagnosed with a posterior mediastinal tumour after three months of tests. Surgery was put off from November 23rd to January 27th, as she was rushed to hospital October 23rd with a twisted bowel.

Recovery from the January surgery, which lasted twelve hours, has been almost at a standstill and she and the family were told this morning that another tumour had formed in behind her heart and it was untreatable.

The prognosis is poor and the family was told that she has weeks to months to live.

Dawn has asked for prayer for peace and calm.

Please pray for her husband as he adjusts to this reality and as they begin to determine the best way to tell their son. He is 7 years old.

Please also pray for my sister and family.

At this time my sister and Dawn's family will need the prayers of us all.

I am so thankful that they are all part of the family of God and can call on strength from Him to see them through this valley.

Ruth, I will certainly be praying that our Heavenly Father give everyone His strength and comfort. 

Father, I'm here to pray concerning Dawn and her family.  Oh Father, we cannot "gang up" on you as though more people praying or more intense prayer would move You.  You are GOD, and You are Lord of heaven and earth, and Your purposes are far beyond our comprehension.  But You call on us to pray, and we believe You will use our prayers to accomplish Your perfect will.  We pray first of all, that You will make plain Your hand in all of this, that You and Your wonderful love are present and operating in this family and every member of it.  Oh show Yourself to each and every one of them, I pray.  Give the physicians far more wisdom than they could have alone.  Direct them to do what is absolutely most beneficial.  And move every member of the family to peace and trust in You.  Oh do these things through our Lord Jesus Christ.

AMEN  to Al's prayer.. Thank you for praying.  this is a difficult time for all the family.

I received an email from Ruth tonight.  She asked me to post this...and inform everyone of the sad news.
