Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

We had a phone call from my wife's sister yesterday afternoon saying her ex-husband of 17 years was in critical condition after collapsing last evening and being diagnosed with pneumococcus meningitis.  He is very seriously ill and given only a 50-50 change of survival.  His two daughters are with him from California and Kansas.  His name is Don so please remember him in your prayers today as he needs them.

Marilyn

Larry I will remember Don in my prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers for Don.  The last report we heard yesterday evening is that he has only 20% of his brain function left and that he is on a respirator and apparently cannot breate without it.  His daughters are awaiting the neuroligist to return on Tuesday from the larger city.  He lives with his elderly mother, who really isn't able to stay alone.  So his daughters are facing a lot of uncertainty as they live in other states from where he and his mother live.  It situation appears to be dire.

Larry - I will be praying for Don...and his two daughters' as well.  This is so hard!!

Just a quick update on my former BIL, Don.  Yesterday afternoon they were going to try to get him off of the respirator and see if he can breathe on his own.  The doctors can't believe that he has responded as he has.  He still have issues with kidney function but he is recognizing his family and they say the infection is about gone.  It is certainly a blessing and prayers answered.  I will keep you updated.

My prayers are with him and his family at this time.

Oh Father, i too pray for Don.  I pray You'll strengthen him and return him to health.  I also pray You'll use this to draw him to Yourself powerfully.  Through our Lord Jesus.

Another update on Don--Sometime yesterday morning he suffered a stroke that has left the left side of his body paralized.  This is certainly not a good sign.  We have not heard anything new today.

Judy McKenna

Oh, Larry - this indeed is NOT a good sign.  Please keep us posted.

Oh, my goodness, Larry. How his suffering has increased and the stresses on his loving family. I'll be praying.

...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Sue

I"m sorry to hear of the negative turn he has taken.

Judy McKenna

Larry:  I came on here tonight to see if there was anything further about Don.  I see there isn't anything new.

Can you give us an update?  I'm still praying for this family.

Thanks....Judy M.

Judy and everyone praying.  I really don't have much else to report other than the doctors now feel that perhaps he didn't have a stroke and what they saw and was causing the paralysis was from the meningitis.  He is still in the ICU.  One of his daughters had to go back home on Sunday and the other is going back to California on Tuesday.  When he is able he will go into the rehab center at the hospital.  It is still a very difficult situation but the daughters all have jobs and one has a very young family of three children as well as the job and can't be away indefinitely.  They have tried to get things set up for their grandmother, who needs to be in a nursing home but refuses to go.  They have wheels on meals, they obtained the lifeline service for her and arranged for the drug store to come twice a week to check on her medicine and I suppose set out the dosages.

Marilyn

Larry I am still praying for Don. May the Lord comfort all of his family and I pray he will be  recovering soon.

Latest update is that Don has been moved out of intensive care and when he is able will go to rehab.  His daughters had to go home but one will be back on Saturday to check on him.  Perhaps we will have more word then.
