I just received the following in my email:

Please pray for Matt and Lana Cretzman and their family. 

This family is on deputation (raising money to get to the mission field) to go to Cuba.  This morning their van hit a patch of ice on Rt 74 in Mt Airy, NC, crashed into a pole and their three year old daughter was killed. 

Lana was flown to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and has some serious injuries.  Matt and his other daughter also survived.  You can find out more about this couple at http://www.cretzmanstocuba.com and you can search cretzman family accident in your search engine to find out more about the accident.

UPDATE ON CRETZMAN FAMILY: (from Facebook)

Lana (mom) is in her room one leg is broken, lacerated kidney, two broken ribs as well as a few minor injuries. Surgery tomorrow on her knee. Matt (dad) is doing okay, just in major shock.

Early this morning immediately after the accident, Matt "tweeted" on Twitter the following:

"@Mcretzman: We were in an accident just now. Don't know if Azlynn is going to make it . PLEASE PRAY"

I will be praying for this precious family.     May the presence of God be very real to Mom & Dad.

Father, in Jesus' name we ask that you comfort this family in this hour of their grief. Heal the injured and give them a speedy recovery.

I am also praying this morning for the comfort and peace only the Father can give for this family.  I pray for healing, physical and emotional, according to His will.

Lana had surgery in NC today and is experiencing terrible bouts of excruciating pain.  Please pray for her.

Matt wonders how they will now plan the funeral of a 3 year old daughter.

  To this Family.  May the Lord's blessings be with you at this very awkward time in your life. Continue to trust in him and I know that he will give you the strength that you need.  Our Father in Heaven we pray that this young family will feel your touch of the Holy Spirit in  there lives and that you will be very close to them.  Gordon.

"Many have asked about how to help Matt and Lana. As I spoke with Matt earlier in the day about his needs and how to best help, his response was nothing but humble. "Just your prayers." Matt says.

As we continued in our conversation, I realized there were some great needs at hand. I realized there were great expenses at hand. The family does not have health insurance. The vehicle is leased through Baptist Missionary Transportation, which consequently does have insurance, but, nevertheless, he will require finances for another vehicle. The Cretzmans do not have insurance or adequate finances to cover funeral plans and arrangements for precious Azlynn."
