JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Today I posted the first ever letter to my Father. Please pray that he will read it and respond. I have waited nearly 42 years to finally contact my father.

Nita

Oh, the emotions that must be running through your heart, your mind, the all of you!  Bless your heart.

I will pray.  You have waited a very long time.  How far away is he from you?  I was wondering how long it would take for the letter to get to him.

Pat

Oh, my!

I will pray.  I'm interested in the questions Nita asked.

Please keep us posted.

He lives at the top end of Queensland just off the coast. I live down in South Australia in the semi-bush. I estimate since it was a public holiday about 4-5 days to get to him. So maybe he would get it Friday or next monday. :coffee:

I truly hope he has been able to respond.

Much love and prayers.
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

No letter or response has been recieved from my father, but then he has been silent for 41 years so I guess things wont change overnight. He could have contacted me all these years and just never tried, so I don't know what will spur him on now, that is except prayer. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Ruth Ann Bice

And, if you hear no response at all, rest in the comforting knowledge that because of your love for God and for your father, you contacted him. Then, you may wish to do what I did quite a few years ago about something that was WAY too big for me to handle. I simply prayed the Lord's Prayer and really thought very hard about the word "as" in the phrase "And forgive us our trespasses AS we forgive those who trespass against us." Then, I held my cupped hands out, palm up and said, "Father, I humbly ask You to take them from my hands into Your own. Please get ready...here they come." And, then with tears pouring down my cheeks, I turned my palms down, hands fingers stretched out straight and dropped them into God's loving hands. Oh, how wonderful it felt to leave that situation with Him.

He resolved it in His own good time, and I've had peace from the torment I felt earlier.

God's loving arms are about you. Don't feel you're alone. And, just imagine, your Brother His Son said that you're now His Father's child. Rest your head on His bosom and let Him, your Heavenly Father, comfort you.
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
