I spoke with my son Roger down in California where I went 3 years ago on the train. In 2000 he had a kidney removed that had a baseball size cancer on it. Just recently he found out the cancer has metastasized to other organs. The tumors are small about 3.5 Cm but he has 8 on his pancreas, 1 on a lung and 1 on his liver. He is taking a new medication called Votreint for his chemo. One of the side effects is it turns the hair white. I saw some pictures of his white hair and that is what prompted me to call him today. He says this med is supposed to shrink the tumors down to almost nothing if and when that happens he will go on a lower does for the rest of his life. He said the Dr told him he could have as little a 2 year or as many as 20 years. So please keep him in your prayers.
Oh, Marilyn. That sounds so frightening, but your son seems to have a handle on it. Be sure of prayers for his healing and strength and peace for you and him.
Thank you Jeanne
So sorry to learn of Roger's illness. I feel a special affinity for those with cancer because of all those in our family who have battled this disease.

Marilyn, I pray the treatment does as Roger expects, and that he has at least 20 more good years. Prayers for peace for you, as well.
Thank you Janet and Ruthann.
So sorry to hear of this. Cancer is such a terrible disease. Yes I will be praying.
I will keep him in my prayers
I have Lymphoma so have an idea of what you are talking bout.
Just had my last Chemo session and still week.
I do hope all turns out good for your son. I will add him to my nightly prayers
God bless you and your son
Cancer is such a terrible illness. I will definitely be praying for Roger and his family.
Marilyn, you know that I truly understand your concern. I am praying for you and Roger and all concerned ... May God give you all peace and hold you close as He continues the healing process.
Marilyn, I will also be praying for Roger and for you. It sound like the treatment offers hope that the cancer can be controlled.
Thank you all for your continues prayers and support.
Also praying that Roger will have at least another 20 years and also that Jesus, the Great Physician will intervene and give him complete remission/healing. God bless you both, Marilyn.
And, since Chocky has just finished her chemo, I think she will appreciate our prayers as we pray for Roger and his family.
