JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Plumbing woes and others

I  now have 3 leaky taps, a gas hot water service that needs attention, a gas stove that needs installation and the septic tank is full again and I can't have a shower until I pump it out. I have a cold, the kids are unwell tonight and my hubby has had to go to Adelaide for a specialisty appointment at the last minute - a four hour drive away. I am exhausted and I am wondering why the Lord is letting the plumbing get into this state? What am I missing? Continued prayer would be good, maybe pray that I gain wisdom to what the Lord is doing? :'(

Marilyn

I am praying oh how I am praying.

Prayers must be working because I believe God has told me the way forward. First of all he asked me to not only forgive the plumber who got us into this mess in the first place but to also pay him the full amount even though we legally don't have to, as he failed to tell us he was not qualified or certified to do gas.

So today I wrote him a letter and told him that I was a Christian and that even though his actions have voided our warranty on the gas hot water and that it will cost us to rectify the situation I have forgiven him. I told him about how God forgives me and that being a christian means that I should do the same. I paid him in full which is quite an amount and now will have to rely on God for the money to get the problem fixed. First though I need a plumber to come. But perhaps now I have done this the way will be clear.

I am praying for a plumber to come.

Oh....how I would so dearly love to be able to dispatch one of my men to you!  (I work for a plumbing company) Canada to Australia is a little far for a service call though.

Have you had any resolution to date?

Ruth Ann Bice

I, too, am concerned. Although you feel that the poor plumber was such bad news for all of your family, your letter certainly must have touched this man's heart.

Your letter reminds me of our Lord's Prayer: "Forgive us our trespasses AS we forgive those who trespass against us."

Please bring us news. We'll keep praying.
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Thankyou for your prayers. There is still no resolution to this problem. So I still battle on with my old stove and the new gas one sits in the shed. I decided to go out and buy a new pump so that I can use the rainwater in the house. The company that sells them will instal it and let me pay it off weekly so at least that bit is taken care of. The gas thing still provides a problem but things could be much worse :D

JudyB

AMEN to the letter.  That was really showing Christian character.

I am praying for a resolution to your problem,
