Hi everyone. My dear friend and sister in Christ was returning to Guelph from an outing with another friend last night when a deer darted into their path. The impact damaged the front end on the driver's side as well as the rear passenger door on the same side of the car. Neither of the ladies was harmed, but there was a great deal of broken glass, some of which was embedded in their clothes.

So much has been happening in Alice's life lately, a change in jobs, her upcoming baptism, and so much more. The fact that they escaped the accident unscathed confirms the Lord's presence in her daily travels. 

Praise the Lord.

Alice had been a devout Catholic all her life, and was rather stiff in her views when we met in 1995. She would often ask me how it was that I was always so positive, even when things were not going well in my life. My answer was, "Because Jesus has given me a chance at a new life, one in which all my sins were forgiven, and He promises to be with me all of my days." Took a few years, but she eventually expressed an interest in knowing more, and the rest of the story is one of renewal...and " A Closer Walk with Thee." 

What a difference this new, close and personal relationship has made in her life. She teaches Bible Study, does public speaking, has written poetry that is all about her trust and faith in the Lord, and her life has been a witness to even the most hardened and skeptical among her family and friends.
