Hi everyone. Several weeks ago, while walking from the west side of town to central to get to a client during a bus driver lockout, I injured my left knee. For the next several weeks, there was the occasional twinge of pain and discomfort, but I was still able to go about my day to day work, etc.
A week and a half ago, while heading out to catch the bus on the way to work, my knee gave out..and I have been struggling to walk ever since. I've been to the doctor, and had an xray done that didn't show any damage. My doctor has put me on indefinite leave, but hopes that I will be back to work by the 20th of this month. In my work, I need to be able to walk, bend, kneel, reach, and also lift small loads (laundry, for example). I told him I do not want to go back to work until I am able to do all those things without pain. I am on a very strong pain killer, which I usually only take at night, since I cannot find a comfortable sleep position.
Please pray for healing, and for God's will to be done in this situation.
Thank you all,
Bonnie

Bonnie, I have had similar problems. Have ypu made an appointment with an Orthpedic Doctor. They will be able to tell you exactly what is wrong. I don't like the strong pain medicine either. A shot of Cortison in your knee might help. It helped me and I have only 20 % Cartilage left in the one knee. If it requires Arthoscopic Surgery, it doesn't require A lot. Recuperation Time is about 3 weeks. I pray that God answers the prayer for Healing the way He desires for you.
Steve
Hi Steve. I had an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon back in December. He told me that the tear in my meniscus (sp) is not bad enough to warrant surgery, but that it will be necessary if it gets longer.
I went for physiotherapy 2x weekly for about 3 months, and it really helped.
Thank you for your reply, your concern and your prayers, Steve.
I'm so sorry you're having such a disruption in your daily life (and income). I'll be praying with you for a solution.
