Title: prayer for my father in law
Post by: SmokeytheDog on January 21, 2014, 08:47:58 PM
I have mentioned elsewhere, my father in law has been suffering from severe headaches since the end of September. He has tried to get into the nearby head pain center, but they won't take him now. They say he is too weak to undergo all the tests. He now has a feeding tube on top of all the other problems. (stemming from a mini stroke, the reason for the feeding tube.)
Also pray for my mother in law. she is having to give medications almost every 2-3 hours round the clock when the pain is bad.

Smokey, I will be praying for both your father-in-law and your mother-in-law.  It is certainly difficult for both of them and I know they need the touch of our Father.

Thanks for your prayers!
He was admitted the other day after he had some bleeding from the feeding tube site. That wasn't the whole reason he was admitted though. He was dehydrated, and could hardly stand up. They also saw he has a touch of pneumonia. On a positive note, his voice seems to be getting better.

Well, earlier this week we were told my father in law would be put on "palliative care". Yesterday we found out that they were giving him a month to live. So Saturday he will be going home from the hospital.

Well, my father in law passed quietly shortly after midnight today (Thursday). Family were at his side at home. The viewing will be Sunday, and the funeral itself Monday.
