About 3 months ago I woke up hurting in my right shoulder. After 2 weeks and a couple of trips to the chiropractor, I couldn't take the pain anymore. I went and saw a Orthopedic Specialist. The MRI it showed that I had 3 tears in my rotator cuff. The tears were very big and I was told I needed surgery. The tears were so big and obvious that the cortisone shot that is supposed to last 6-12 months lasted 1 1/2 days. It all leaked out of the tears.
I set the surgery up for the Monday before Thanksgiving. 3 weeks before the surgery I was watching TBN and the Lord told me I needed to claim my healing. I started claiming that by his striped I am healed (and a few other verses). I continued praying and claiming my healing for about 30 minutes, sometimes Praising the Lord as loud as I could. Then the pain left and my arm felt good.
Here's where I messed it up.
I took a shower and then a quick nap before going to pick my wife up from work. I woke up and felt a slight twinge in my shoulder. I remember thinking: well I guess the doctor will fix it. Then the pain returned with a vengeance. I have had a kidney stone that did not hurt this much.
3 weeks later I went for surgery. The doctor did not find any sign that I had ever had a tear in any part of my rotator cuff. I guess he had to find something to verify the need for surgery so he found 2 small bone spurs and in his words a very small pocket of arthritis. All of which he "fixed".
2 days after the surgery I was thinking about what had happened and why if I had been healed I still had the pain. The Lord told me that I was healed when I claimed my healing but that later when I doubted he let me have the pain back so that at this very time when I was contemplating what had happened I would realize that next time when I need to stand firm and not doubt.
I feel so grateful to our Lord. I was facing 6 months of rehab and allot of pain. Now its less that 6 weeks and minimal pain. Actually My healing is all ready weeks ahead of where I should be. I'm able to do things that people are normally doing 4 weeks after this type of surgery. I have only had 1 rehab appointment.
THANKS AND PRAISE BE UNTO OUR LORD!
Jim.
Jim, thank you so much for this testimony! It is a reminder to all of us that when we give anything to Jesus we must leave it there in His hands, not take it back into our own.
Jim both Pat and I have had shoulder surgery we know what that pain is all about. So happy to praise God for the outcome, with you.
So happy to read your post, Jim. My shoulder doctor told me once that the shoulder is the most unprotected of all joints and workable parts in our body thus the severe pain encountered but so happy now that you are praising the Lord!
Thanks so much for this post. Glad I came here just before leaving for church. God bless you.
Jim, it's so wonderful to read your testimony. Thank you for sharing it. Truly a Prayer of Praise!
Hi Jim,
I'm very happy to hear that your healing is already weeks ahead of where I should be. Thanks for the testimony!
