QuoteTo day I come with a heavy heart but also knowing it is in God's hands.
I would like that you would remember our family's at this time, our DIL Charlene is waiting to have surgery, her bowl and lung early stage cancer positive or negative we do not know until all the reports are back. I understand the surgery will take place tomorrow sometime. In different ways we are all in shock and hurting.
In advance thank you. Ruth
Charlene went into surgery today About 1:00 how long surgery will be is unknown. There will be multiple incisions and Charlene will be awake for the surgery. She (Charlene) has known about a problem from around Christmas, the extent of the issue wasn't known till this past Thursday. Please pray for Doug, Ruth's son, Charlene's mother and two children and their families.
Doug and Charlene, I don't know if you will see this, but I want you to know that I am praying.
Ruth, stay strong, you know that God has this in His hands. I will hold the whole family up in prayer. I have always loved you and Doug as family, and knowing that this is happening makes me really sad so all I can do is go to God.
Heather
Ruth, I am praying as I write for your daughter-in-law and for the family. Please be sure to let us know the results of the surgery and the prognosis.
I called Ruth and as of now there is no news. Heading to bed early so will check again tomorrow.
I'm praying for encouraging news resulting from the surgery.
Charlene finally had surgery yesterday afternoon I understand it was a 2 plus hour procedure as it was in 2 parts of her body. The Dr's do feel that they have removed all, but now the waiting time for the final results and then what the next step along the way will be. We as a family do feel that all of this is in God's perfect timing.
Doug is with her today and has said that she is in good spirits. I can say that sleep does not come easy for many members of the family.
Thanks for letting us now, Ruth. Prayers will, of course, continue for Charlene and all the family.
Ruth, glad the surgery is over and that Charlene is in good spirits. We will be praying that the results of the tests show the doctor's got all the cancer.
Thank you Ruth. I will continue to pray.
I will continue to pray for Charlene as well, Ruth.
GOD IS SO VERY GOOD
ALL PRAISE AND THANKS
Charlene was released from the hospital this afternoon.
All tests results show no sign of cancer anywhere except for a very tiny spot in the bowl.
Many many thanks for your prayers
Ruth
That is indeed good news Ruth!
Praise the Lord, for He is good!
Wonderful news, Ruth. Our Great Physician is indeed loving and good.
Ruth, I'm so grateful for your good news re your daughter in law. I know everyone took a deep breath while thanking the Lord. :)
Oh continue, lord, to look with mercy upon this surgery, and guide the doctor's hands tlhrough our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thanks all of you for your continued prayers.
She now has a rash caused by what not sure as she is sensitive and or allergic to many things.
I do believe that in the next 2 wks she will be seeing the Dr's that have and will be involved with the next step in her healing.
Today is Charlenes birthday.
Praise the Lord for continuing good health.
Happy Birthday to her--she shares the same birth date as my mom; who is
98 years "young" today.
Char is improving each and every day but this coming week will be the appointments to let them them know what is to follow.
OK thanks Ruth for the update.
Char has gotten the last of her reports re the cancer the only place with the cancer was the bowl in its very early stages, the Dr's are confident that all is removed thus at the present time no further treatment is required.
Again God is forever Good
Ruth that is wonderful news. Is she going to have chemo at all? We will keep praying.
Ruth, don't think one can get better news that Char got regarding her cancer. I know everyone must be greatly relieved and it shows the importance of early detection.
