JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Prayers Needed:
Our three week old grandson, Colten, is in the hospital in Pensacola, Florida with RSV. He is not well. We would ask for all those who believe in prayer to please pray for our wee grandson and his Mummy and Daddy (Paul's son) and two brothers and sister. Here is what John B. Halbach and Lisa Ridgeway Halbach
wrote on John's wall...

From John:
Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you for your prayers. Here is an update on Colten. Last night he had a 100.4 fever. His breathing is still is not well, the doctor said sometimes the RSV virus triggers the brain to signal the lungs to stop breathing—he is also congested. The respiratory specialist was able to get a lot of (whatever it is called) stuff out of his lungs and nose this morning. When Colten first came in—the blood sample they took came back with a low white blood cell count. The doctor wants to take another blood sample to see any changes. The doctor also said Colten could have this for a month or he could go home and then get it again. The doctor also said that if he goes home and has to come back then he is exposed to all kinds of stuff in the ER (which could be where he got pneumonia from) and then they have to poke him all over again and run tests etc... So, I guess Colten will be in the hospital for several more days. Thank you for your prayers and I thank God for sending his son Jesus (born about 2011 years ago) to die and pay with his blood (the only payment acceptable in God's sight) my sin punishment so that I could in 1973, confess that I am a sinner, realize my sins wages were death (eternal separation from God in Hell), and believe that Jesus Christ's blood saved me and so now I am on my way to Heaven with the spirit of God dwelling inside me. Praise the Lord!

I will be praying for Colten and for the family as this crisis is faced.

Tisie

I hear the call, Pat & Paul, and answer with prayers.... God Bless.... My oldest son was plagued with this problem for years so understand the stress everyone is going through.

Hope everyone has had a good Christmas, peaceful and joyful... and much to be thankful for.  Love to all.  Shirley/Tisie

Praying that God will heal Colten either directly by His Sovereign touch  or through the doctors care, and that there will be no re-occurrence of this problem in the future.

Pat, RSV is just a name and Jesus is above every thing named. In Jesus' name Colten is healed, whole and totally restored!

Don

I sure hate to hear or see the little ones sick, makes me feel so helpless.  Praying here also, for Colten, Parents, Grandparents and Doctors.

A new update about Colten, our grandson from John B. Halbach

Yesterday:
The x-ray came back and the left lung is looking better but now the right one is worse with possible collapse of the upper lobe (not sure what that means—Lisa commented that she misses not being able to goggle the different things doctors say). The doctor and specialists decided to put Colten back on 50% oxygen. One specialist came by (that had been dealing with RSV patients for over 20 years) and was able to get more mucus out. Thank you for praying.

Last evening:
Visited Lisa and Colten in the hospital this evening with the kids. It is very evident that God is working through our prayers, (we serve a great and wonderful God). Colten has made a change for the better. One new thing the doctor has prescribed is a C-pack (they put a mask over his mouth and nose and the medicine is misted (blown in) into his lungs directly). They have done this several times today and praise God it is working. While I was there Lisa was able to hold Colten without all the alarms going off. Also while I was there a lady came in and administered a C-pack. Colten was actually resisting her and cried like he use to cry before all this happened. She was able to get a lot of mucus out as well. He was very alert and looking around. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your prayers.

That is wonderful news!  We'll continue to pray for Colten's further healing.

Praise the Lord!  Prayers continue - especially in the middle of the night when sleep is evasive and everything is quiet.  A wonderful time to talk with God!   :)

I'm praying too for Colten. And I'm praying for his family for them to feel God's presence and His peace. It is difficult to watch a loved one in distress, especially when they are so small.

Thank you for the prayers.  Please continue.

Here is the latest from John:
First of all I am sorry for no updates. I was at the hospital yesterday for a long time while Lisa was able to come home. Then when Lisa came back I stayed with her late into the night. This morning was a rough morning. Colten was spitting up the milk that was given him. Colten's breathing was also more labored. The doctors decided to increase his IV, no more milk be given to him and C-pack treatments every 4 hours instead of 6. His upper lobe (not sure if I was told which one) had collapsed (which means—to them—the outer air pockets were closed—one technician told me that if his lung had collapsed the way I was thinking Colten would be moved to the NICU). It is amazing to me how fast RSV can flare up again. Colten was doing so much better yesterday. We are just taking it one morning and evening at a time. If I did not know God was in control of Colten's little life, I know I would not have the peace I have now. It is wonderful to just trust God with my burdens. I know God loves Colten even more than Lisa and I. Thank you for your prayers.

Thanks for the update, Pat.  My prayers continue for Colten and the family.  I can't imagine what it must be like for John and Lisa as they watch the ups and downs in his condition.  May our Lord give wisdom to the doctors and lead them to His Will.

And I, as well. Remember the Footprints in the Sand illustration. During this rough time, y'all are being carried. How great is our God, through good times and bad. The thought of the everlasting arms upholding you as you're held in His strong right hand really is a comfort to me.

I've received word from Pat that Colten is now at home, but is still fighting for healing in his lungs and needs to gain wait.  Pat is asking that prayers be continued.
