I don't think I posted yesterday morning before church.  After visiting with Jerry and his friends, Lynn and I came here.  I was going to post then on NEM but I got so sleepy!!!!  Then we both got up this morning...I was going to post again but I received several pictures of Jerry's Italy grandson...so I ran them through PSP and printed them out for Grandpa.  Lynn and I went to the conference meeting.  All is great and Jerry is enthused about going home in 9-10 days.  Lynn went back to Dayton to see her hubby before he left for work.  I watched Jerry do some therapy and helped him with his lunch.  I stopped at McD's for lunch.  It got darker.......and darker.....thunder.....lightening....darker.  So JUST as I was leaving it started raining.  I don't think I have ever gotten so wet just going from a building to my car.  I don't think there was a dry stitch on me and I had a lot of stitches on me.    It wasn't raining cats and dogs or even buckets.  I think it was vats!!!  So much water in only a few minutes.  I still had water running down my back when I drove in the drive way.  Now my clothes are in the washer and dryer.  

That has been my excuse for not posting on NEM!!!

Etta Sue, I'm soaking too.......................with perspiration.  It is scorching hot here in England.  Unbelievable heat!  There will be storms tonight!

It's a shame for the holiday makers enjoying the beaches, the trains are on strike so they will have difficulties getting home.

Sorry I'm late posting...Doctor visit and to see the Post Mistress at the little old village p.o.
Also managed to hose the lawn...there is no hosepipe ban.  According to the radio there was so much rainfall in March that the water reserves are full........What a blessing from the Lord........and poor Canada and Portugal with fires out of control......God is speaking to hearts I am sure.....I pray many will turn to the Lord through their extremity.....Amen!

TERRIFIC RIA!

Here's what Ria sent to me:

I am 52 years old married for the second time my first husband is dead.  He died suddenly he had problems with his heart. He was operated but he died 2 years later he was 49 years old. He does a lot of work for the church with him i have a son named Marcel
he is now 21 years old.

My second husband is 59 years old.

I have family in Canada. Judy is married with my cousin John Boneschansker.  I mail with her.

In 1976 i was in Canada with my first husband. It is very nice in Canada.  

Holland is a small country but nice.

I read christian poems  I have collections of poetry.

My lovely psalm is The Lord Is my Shepherd and i love 1 Corinthians 13

I have done in June a course named Why Jesus.  I believe Jesus is our  Savior.

I work not only in my home. I make cards by myself and i read a lot.

I make mistakes in English i hope you can understand what i have writen

I send a picture now from my second wedding day also standing on the picture my son and my father he is 78 years old

Oh, Ria!  I'm so happy to see that you've posted a message.  Your English is just fine.  I'm glad you don't ask me to post to you in Dutch - I wouldn't be able to say one word!

Pat, you keep posting "It is Well With My Soul", even though I've told you it always chokes me up!    Really, it's one of my favorites but when we sing it in chruch I almost never am able to get all the way through.

Marilyn, I know you'll be especially blessed when you go to hear Al at his church.  Wish I could join you.  

Another sticky one today, with thunderstorms, and it's supposed to continue through next Sunday - with 60% and 70% chance of storms every day.  BUT... this is the day the Lord has sent.  I WILL rejoice and be glad in it!

Just returned home from an appointment with the Public Health Nurse at the senior center. WOW was she ever thorough. I haven't been asked so many question in years.

She made an appointment with a Doctor for me for Sept. 15, and gave me a long list of things to talk about with the doctor and tests she wants me to have. Then she gave me a tetnus shot because it has been i don't know how many years have passed since I had one.

Among the things she told me is that I am showing signs of Rheumatoid Arthritis. We also noted that I have lost 1 1/4 inches in hieght I used to be 5'8 3/4" now 5'7 1/2".  Lots of things for me to talk to a doctor about, includes Asthma meds, Wellbutrin for 6 months, Bone density tests. eye doctor and ear, nose and throat doctor., etc etc.  

I am going to be soooo busy.

It's so good to have you here!  Do I undersand correctly that you are in Holland?  Are you acquainted at all with the town of Mook over near the German border south of Arnheim?  My ancestral name was van ter Mook.  It's Moak now, because my people didn't like the American pronunciation!

I have just returned from meeting Jeff halfway to return Abby to him, and I am really tired.  She and I had quite a day, including going swimming TWICE!    But she had a wonderful time, and I want her to always remember having great times at Grandma's house.  We completed six  projects for her to enter in the fair tomorrow.  She was SOO proud!  She even learned to sew on the sewing machine, and made a pink blanket for puppy Mieka!

Anyway, I wanted to say goodnight, and I may not be around much now for a while.  I am judging tomorrow and Wednesday, and then after judging on Wednesday, I will be driving on to Salina to pick up the grandsons for a few days' visit.  We almost waited too long, as school is starting soon.

I will pop in every chance I have, anyway!

Ria, you did great, and the photo of your wedding is really nice!

I am stopping now instead of later tonight as I am busy right now getting the lawn watered, Gilbert mowed and weed wacked for me. The lawn here is really dry 'cause the girl before me never  watered for 5 years.

Been cacthing up on some email to friends down south.

I also had to write to Prudential Life insurance company because there is no record of my policy in the home office or the office where it was issued in 1955. Drat!!! I need that policy, buying another one now will cost me both arms and both legs.   I am thinking that my uncle cashed it in when he had Power of Attorney over my mom's estate before she  went to be with the Lord.  I know he cashed in all her policies to  help pay for her bills and Nursing Home fees and her funeral.  He's gone now too.  Not a nice family I'm afraid.They didn't want me to have ANYTHING. They did give me all her jewelry and some photos. My mom sure wouldn't like it if they did. Please pray that the ins. company can find it.

marilyn, I sure hope things get straightened out for you.  That sounds like a big doctor's appointment you are facing.

It was a very pleasant day today until about 4, then it clouded up, got extremely humid, and began to storm.  Every time it thunders, Travis says, "POW!"  Apparently, it sounds like the fourth of July fireworks to him.  He also started saying "Luv you" and "Hot shot" tonight.  He is a hoot.

I finally found a place to temporarily send pics to until my in-house tech can get the gallery working again.  He knows what is wrong with it, but is having to work with our hosts to see how to fix it.  Or something like that.

I hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.  I have a test report to write, so I had better be scootin'!

Sorry I haven't been around much.  Seems when you have something on your mind that is troubling, you just have to pray more and that's what I've been doing.  

Sorry, Jeanne!  HAHAHA!  I love that hymn and it's one of my favorites.  Guess that's why I've played it often.

Well folks I am out of here.  I have a big day tomorrow. I have a eye doctors appointment at 10:30 in toronto.  That is a minimum 4 hour drive.  I am mot a morning person, so please pray for mr that I wake in time and that I have a safe day.

Judy, Thanks for asking.  He is wide open.  Growing each day.  He is in that stage now where he mimicks EVERYTHING!!!!!

Sorry I haven't been posting much.  This real world stuff catches up with you every now and then, know what I mean.  I should be in more this week.
