I was just doing a little surfing and I brought up your website.  You ARE a professional.  I enjoyed your pictures so much.  I noticed that you are home schooling.  That must be a big job for you.  Our daughter, Rachel, home schools.  They have three children.  She started each one when they were in the first grade.  Their first two she schooled through the 12th grade and they are now in college and the youngest one she still schools at home.  I know it is a great challenge but when you consider all the things which go on in many of the public schools it is worth it.  They all have a strong faith and are really fine young people.  We are so proud of them and of their mother.

PapaJOhn where have you been? I've missed you for the past few days.  How is your back?

Pinkie, I have my home page at thirdage.com but, as Pat says, that's the only way to be able to post pictures here ... first upload them with ftp and then use that URL to link to them here.  It's sometimes a pain    and I usually manage to mess up a few times before getting it right.  Also, I suppose I should periodically delete some of the older photos that are not being viewed any place.  That would make more room, I'm sure.

Thanks Jane...I'll check it out.  Even if I could just upload them and didn't have to SEND THEM first - that would be a help!  So many things to remember to do! hahah

Marilyn, we have had a house full of company as the family has been gathering in for our granddaughter's wedding tomorrow.  The rehearsal is tonight.  Anyway seems like I haven't always been able to get the computer because everyone is checking their
email.

I am going over now to post a picture of the happy couple.  Don't miss it.

(Pinkie, you've been posting only on Yahoo for too long!  LOL   To post on most message boards or sites, you have to upload to your web page unless the message board has an attachment feature which takes up enormous room on the site server.  That's why we have it disabled.)

OH, PAT~ I would never delete any photos that are being viewed on this site!    NEVER!  But, if I ever do decide to do that, I'll fer sure let you know, okay?  

I didn't think you would, but it just reminded me of what I wanted to say some time ago and forgot to when I found several threads filled with Red X's or broken links!

I know - but if I could just find a site that I could post to and then I could cut out having to send them first to webpost.  That would help.  But I checked out Jane's site...joined and guess what?  The site can't find me in their system.  First they said WELCOME and sent a welcome letter to my address, but they won't let me on.  So I created another identity with a different email address  - AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED.  THIS IS REALLY FRUSTRATING!!!!
I guess I'm not meant to post pictures.  I'm spending an inordinate amount of time trying to get this to work!

I did not mean to do it. It was all broken and they are all gone now.   I did make a nother one and i can perhaps fix the broken ones if I can find them.   some of my pictures and smileys are gone now.  

Ms Marilyn, I do still run each day. But I am fat and slow from my trip on a boat. It is not far to run on a boat. So I have much work to do to run far again.  

Mr Papa John you must be SO excite for this wedding. I hope it is wonderful for you.

Quick question before supper.  Pat, do the photos that you link to (with a hyperlink) have to also be 35K or under and 500 pixels on longest side?  Or is that only for posted pictures?

SOMETHING ELSE:

I'd like to once again thank everyone for their concern this past week, about our job situation.  My husband's job situation hasn't changed (God willing something will happen soon here), but my own has been clarified considerably.  I have been able to negotiate contracts for the next year with Wyoming (through June 30/2004), so at least this provides us with some very needed stability.  I thank God for this - I've been praying about it a lot, and He always answers prayers.

Marilyn - that looked like an exposition on "Amazing Grace!"  I think, if we really knew ourselves and how lost we were, that was all of us.  I've posted (or will in a moment) some of my own feelings on this in Manna.

I am going to work at the local library on Tuesday at 11 a.m. I will be working Tuesday through Friday at the library and on Tuesdays and Thursday nights I will be in the caregiver classes.

Wonderful news, Marilyn!  I'm so happy for you.

Great news, Marilyn.  And working in a library is my idea of an ideal job.  I've put in a good many volunteer hours at library desks, ever since I was 10 years old working on a Girl Scout badge.  And if I could have been paid for it, it would just have been "icing on the cake".  

My co-worker's vacation is over and I'll be back to just a few hours a week starting Monday.  It's been a busy and challenging week and I've enjoyed it, but I'm sure glad to see it come to an end.

I haven't been on the computer for a few days so am really behind.

I think I'm in a mess too.  Norm has been deleting what he thought was "junk" and "pop-ups"., and I 'know' he has deleted mail from friends.

I'm hoping I can remedy this somehow.

Etta Sue:  I have been praying for Jerry; and praying that rehab will be successful and that he gets a "good roomie".  Its so important for a good recovery to have someone in your room that you can relate to.

I have had some "real doozies" over the years; but have also been blessed with a couple of fine Christian ladies., which I correspond with to this day!

I have truly enjoyed all the posts today.  And yes, I do believe I have a great relationship with Jerry kids.  That are great kids.  Jerry and Beverly did a great job in raising them and giving them great standards to live by.  My saying of 'It's not too late to accept Christ but may be too late NOT to accept Christ' stems, I guess, because I accepted Christ late in life....I accepted him while living on this earth but late in life and I know I will have eternal life in Heaven.  But if you don't accept Christ then it may be too late....you won't have eternal life in Heaven.  I say 'may be' because we don't know anyone's last thoughts and pleas when leaving this earth.  I hope that helps.  Also I pray that I am right in my thinking.  Wouldn't that be something if my thinking is wrong.  Correct me, if I am wrong.  

Pat, I hope I have time to upload regions to my Global Positioning System...to help us navigate in the U.S.  I am getting antsy to leave.  My guess is Ivalou and I are leaving Aug. 8.  I'm a slow driver...but alert because of the rest I will get at night and not tiring myself with so many miles under my belt each day.  Haha!

I have heard of FTD but what is FTP?  Upload them with ftp and post the URL to link them on here.  ?

Pat ~ When we delete pictures from here, can you go by the dates that they were posted?  And possible subjects, too?  I have my pictures on Homestead in monthly folders.  Am I too organized or what?

Mieka ~ I don't think there is a thing fat on your body.  I remember your pictures.  Now take a look-see at the picture on the left....that is fat!!!

Hello, hello, hello!
This is the first opportunity I have had to post today, though I have been in here several times "reading" for a minute or two at a time.

I was supposed to give a homeschooler her annual testing today, but she never showed.    I talked to her mom about 45 minutes before the scheduled time, and everything was a go.  No one answered when I tried to call.  Hope everything is okay.

We have a family reunion tomorrow.  WooHOo.  Lots of good food.  I think Bernard's family probably has some of the world's best cooks.  numnum as Travis would say.

I am continuing to pray for Jerry and his recovery.  I would imagine he is getting more frustrated by now.  He strikes me as the type that likes to keep going and doing, adn to have something to do.  I will pray that God gives him a restful peace and that this is a good time for him to reflect on HIM.

Sonifo -- Hi girlfriend.  Make sure you come in here whenever possible, don't let dpc be stingy with your pictures!!!  

Mieka -- fat.  hahahahahahahahahhahahahahah   whatever.  Thank you for your post today on dpc.  That was awesome.  If more people would slow down and say positive things like that, imagine what a better world it would be!

Oh yea, my pics may be showing red x's as well.  Seems our online gallery is floating untethered somewhere in cyber space.  Bernard was working long hours this week and didn't get a chance to look for it.  Hopefully, this situation will be rectified soon.  

As soon as I can, i gotta post this picture of this moth on our rock wall today.  It was huge (at least by Western NC standards).  Total wing span was probably 4 or 5 inches, adn it was yellow and brown, and very furry.  I got some cool macros of it.  

Anyway.  I hope all is well in your world, and may everyone have a tremendous weekend!

Etta Sue, don't you use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to get your photos from your computer to your webspace?  HuH?
